On 115 V input, ASUS lists a maximum output of 1,600 W. Those figures describe the power supply’s rated capability, not a guarantee that a typical home circuit or any four-card PC configuration will be suitable.
What ASUS announced
The product in the announcement is the ASUS ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20, introduced as part of ROG Edition 20 at Computex 2026. ASUS describes it as an extreme-build power supply and advertises support for configurations with up to four GeForce RTX 5090 cards. The supported four-card claim is explicitly tied to 220–240 V input on the ROG Thor product page.
That is a manufacturer-stated supported configuration, not independent validation of every combination of graphics cards, motherboard, processor, cooling system, and other components. ASUS’s announcement does not establish that all RTX 5090 models have the same power draw or that a four-GPU setup is appropriate for an ordinary gaming PC.
How much power it provides at each input voltage
| Input voltage | Maximum output listed by ASUS | What the rating means |
|---|---|---|
| 220–240 V | Up to 3,000 W | ASUS says the unit must use a 220–240 V outlet to reach its rated maximum. |
| 115 V | Up to 1,600 W | The listed maximum is lower than the 220–240 V rating. |
ASUS notes that maximum wattage depends on local power-grid specifications. Its product specifications also say the electrical system must meet the PSU’s requirements. A 3,000 W label therefore does not mean the unit can deliver 3,000 W from any household outlet or circuit; the supply, outlet, circuit, and local electrical installation all matter.

What features ASUS lists
ASUS lists several design features for the Thor. Its performance descriptions below are ASUS’s claims rather than independently measured results.
- GaN MOSFETs: ASUS says these improve efficiency and reduce heat, and claims up to 30% more power efficiency than standard MOSFETs in its ROG Edition 20 announcement.
- GPU-First Intelligent Voltage Stabilizer: ASUS claims it can improve voltage stability by up to 45%. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independent test result.
- ROG Equalizer 12V-2×6 cable: A listed cable feature intended for the PSU’s GPU power connections.
- Detachable magnetic OLED display and USB-C extender: The display can be positioned away from the power supply using the extender, according to ASUS.
- Protection features: ASUS lists over-current, over-temperature, over-voltage, over-power, short-circuit, under-voltage, surge, and no-load protection.
- Efficiency and warranty: ASUS lists 80 PLUS Titanium certification, a 10-year warranty for core product operation, and a three-year warranty for RGB LEDs.
Do not confuse the ROG Thor with ASUS’s Pro WS 3000W Platinum
ASUS also sells a separate 3000 W power supply, the Pro WS 3000W Platinum. It is a different model, positioned by ASUS for AI solutions, deep learning, and IT management. ASUS lists it as 80 PLUS Platinum, while the ROG Thor is listed as 80 PLUS Titanium. Specifications for one model should not be assumed to apply to the other.

What the announcement does not establish
ASUS’s official pages reviewed for this article do not establish a current retail price, regional stock, or an exact-model Amazon listing. Availability and pricing can differ by region and change over time, so check the local ASUS store or retailers for the specific Edition 20 model before buying. The available ASUS material also does not provide independent testing of the Thor’s efficiency or voltage-stabilizer claims.
