Apple may unveil another group of devices in the final week of October 2026, according to a MacRumors report published October 5 that cites multiple unnamed sources. Apple has not confirmed a second announcement, and the report does not identify the products, an exact date, or an announcement format.
What could Apple announce in late October?
The report’s leading candidates are Macs: a long-rumored MacBook Ultra, a base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, and an iMac with an M6 chip. These are possibilities named in reporting, not confirmed products or specifications.
A new iPad mini is also reportedly expected sometime in October, but its timing is uncertain. MacRumors says it could be announced alongside home products, with late-month Macs, or at another point during the month.
Rumored iPad mini features
The reported possibilities include an OLED display, an A20 Pro chip, a landscape front camera, and a redesigned speaker system. Apple has not confirmed those features or announced a launch date.

Could Apple announce home devices on October 13?
MacRumors also discusses a reported October 13 launch of a home hub, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K. That date and lineup are reported, not official. They should not be treated as confirmation of either an Apple event or the separate late-month batch.
Will Apple hold an event?
No format has been reported for the possible late-October announcements. Apple could use an event, videos, or press releases, but the sources do not establish which it will choose. 9to5Mac’s October 5 summary likewise says the products, date, and format are unspecified: 9to5Mac.

Apple’s October announcement history offers context, not a forecast. MacRumors lists an event in 2021, press releases in 2022, an event in 2023, and press releases in 2024; the different formats show why a live event cannot be assumed. MacRumors’ October roundup

If you are considering a Mac or iPad mini that overlaps with the rumored products, waiting for Apple’s announcement may help clarify the lineup and availability. At present, there are no confirmed specifications or launch dates for those candidates to compare with products on sale now. If you need a device sooner, make the decision based on current models and your needs rather than treating the rumors as a promised refresh.
