What’s new in Apple Invites
The reported changes address three different parts of an event: sharing photos afterward, designing the invitation, and helping guests complete email verification.

These three app-update details are reported by MacRumors and 9to5Mac. They are not confirmed by an Apple release note for this specific Invites update.
Full-resolution photos depend on newer operating systems
Apple Support says full-resolution sharing in iCloud Shared Albums is available with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and visionOS 27 or later. That guidance establishes the operating-system requirement for Shared Albums generally; it does not specify when every Apple Invites user will see the capability. The system requirement is distinct from the Invites app’s basic compatibility: Apple’s App Store listing says the app supports iPhone models running iOS 18 or later. An iPhone that can run Invites may therefore not have the OS version required for full-resolution Shared Albums.
How Apple Invites works
Apple introduced Invites on February 4, 2025 as an event app for creating and sharing invitations, managing RSVPs, contributing to Shared Albums, and engaging with Apple Music playlists. Apple said hosts need an iCloud+ subscription to create invitations. Guests can view and respond to invitations on the web without an Apple Account or iCloud+ subscription. Those are the access terms described in Apple’s launch announcement; the three reported 2026 features do not change them.
