Forgot something just after placing an Amazon order? Prime members in the U.S., Canada and U.K. can use Amazon’s Add to Delivery feature to add an eligible item to an upcoming delivery instead of placing a separate order. It is not available for every product or delivery, so look for the option on the item page.
What Amazon’s Add to Delivery feature does
Add to Delivery lets you add an eligible item to an upcoming Amazon delivery after you have placed an order. Amazon says the feature carries no added shipping fee in the U.S. and Canada. The item and delivery must qualify; the feature does not guarantee that every new purchase can be combined with an order already in progress.
Amazon reported that U.S. customers had used Add to Delivery more than 50 million times as of its page updated June 4, 2026. That figure is Amazon’s own usage report, not an independent measurement. Amazon’s delivery overview provides the figure.
How to add an item to an upcoming delivery
- Open the Amazon Shopping app, or visit Amazon’s website on a mobile device: Amazon.com in the U.S., Amazon.ca in Canada, or Amazon.co.uk in the U.K.
- Open the product detail page for the item you forgot to order.
- If the item and an upcoming delivery are eligible, look for the blue Add to Delivery button and tap it. Amazon’s U.K. instructions include confirming the order after tapping.
- If you change your mind, use the immediate Undo option where it appears. In Canada, Amazon says you can also cancel the item through Your Orders immediately or before it ships.

Who can use it and where it is available
Amazon’s announcements establish availability for Prime members in the U.S., Canada and U.K. The U.S. announcement dates to October 2, 2025; Amazon announced the Canadian launch on July 13, 2026, and the U.K. launch on September 21, 2026. These announcements do not establish availability in other countries.
The option is conditional, not a setting that applies to all purchases. Amazon says the button appears for eligible items; its U.S. announcement says it may appear when a delivery is due later that day or the next day. Check the product page in your own account rather than assuming the item can join a particular delivery.

Do you need a special device?
No special phone, Alexa device or accessory is part of Amazon’s documented process. The stated options are the Amazon Shopping app or Amazon’s mobile website. Amazon’s U.S. instructions specify a mobile device, as does its U.K. announcement.
