What to know about each brand
Garmin
Reported Garmin offers range from the Forerunner 55 and 165 to the premium Epix Pro (Gen 2) Sapphire and Enduro. One roundup also described discounts of up to 45% across the Venu 4 and Fenix 9 lineups, but did not establish a specific price for each model. Check the listing’s generation and configuration: a large percentage discount does not by itself show whether the watch is the right fit or a better value than a newer alternative.
Apple Watch
Roundups reported prices for the SE 3, Series 12 and Ultra 3, but the Ultra discount figures conflict. Coverage of the Series 11 also disagreed: one source described it as undiscounted, while another reported a discount from $429. Those conflicting reports are not enough to establish the live price or saving. Verify the exact series, case size and price on Amazon before deciding.

Oura
A roundup listed the Oura Ring 4 Stealth at $349, reportedly 13% off. Oura requires a membership for full features, so factor the recurring membership cost into the purchase rather than comparing the ring’s upfront price alone. A roundup mentioned an “Oura Ring 5” but supplied no price; its availability and deal status are not established here.

How to check whether a deal is worthwhile
- Open the live listing. Confirm that the price and discount still appear at checkout; roundup prices can become stale while the event is running.
- Match the model precisely. Check generation, size, material and included accessories. A deal on an older model or a different configuration may not match the product you intended to buy.
- Compare against price history. Amazon says its “Today’s Big Deals” include offers up to 55% or more off and are mostly at their lowest prices of the year so far. That is Amazon’s own characterization, not an independent price-history finding. Use a price-history source if you want to assess whether the current price is unusually low.
- Add recurring costs. Include any required or bundled membership, renewal timing and terms in your total-cost comparison, particularly for Whoop and Oura.
- Match the device to your setup. Consider whether you need a running watch, a multisport watch, a general smartwatch or a sleep-and-recovery ring. Apple Watch is designed for Apple’s ecosystem; Garmin and Oura offer alternatives beyond that watch ecosystem.
When deals refresh and when the event ends
According to Variety’s event coverage, Amazon refreshes deals three times daily through “Today’s Big Deals”: at midnight Pacific Time, 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Amazon also says Alexa for Shopping can set deal alerts. The sale ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7; that is 2:59 a.m. EDT on October 8.
Amazon’s event announcement describes a 48-hour sale with more than 35 categories and a curated page of 165 top deals. This is the fourth October event of its kind: Amazon coverage traces the event’s launch to 2022 as the Prime Early Access Sale and its renaming in 2023.
What happens after Prime Big Deal Days?
Prices may return to their earlier levels when the event ends, but a particular product’s post-sale price is not guaranteed. If you are not ready to buy, save the exact model and compare its price later rather than assuming this is its last chance to go on sale.
