AION 2 crafting has five disciplines for making equipment, materials, consumables and food. To progress, craft recipes that fit your proficiency and material budget; success and failure both award crafting experience, but success awards more. Transfer Crafting can carry some equipment progress while resetting other properties, and Substance Morph converts materials with a chance of failure. Exact mechanics and recipes can vary by region and build, so check the recipe and confirmation panels in your client before committing.
What can you craft in AION 2?
AION 2 divides crafting into five disciplines. English labels vary across sources and regional clients, so use the names shown in your own game when selecting a recipe.
- Smithing — also labeled Blacksmithing in the Aion2.app recipe database.
- Armor crafting — also labeled Armorsmithing.
- Handicraft — also labeled Handicrafting.
- Alchemy.
- Cooking.
AION 2 Atlas describes the disciplines collectively as producing equipment, materials, consumables and food; the available recipe determines the actual output and requirements. For example, Aion2.app’s API-sourced recipe data, dated September 18, 2026, lists an Orichalcum Helm recipe at Helm Mastery 3 requiring one Orichalcum Ingot, three Strong Leather, two Refining Stones and one Odyle. That is one recipe example, not a general material list.

Unlock and start crafting
The Global guide for AION 2 version 1.0.21.0 says crafting opens at character level 10. It recommends crafting at a town Crafting Table; the Crafting menu can also be used elsewhere, but the guide says that gives less combat EXP. Taking a hit while crafting cancels the craft as a failure. These are Global-guide details updated October 7, 2026, not guaranteed rules for every regional client or later build.

Choose individual crafts or batches
Both successful and failed crafts grant crafting experience, according to AION 2 Atlas. The Global guide says a failed craft awards less proficiency than a successful one, and that individual crafts give more proficiency than x10 or x30 batch recipes for the same material spend. Individual crafting can therefore be preferable when proficiency is the priority; batches trade some reported proficiency gain for fewer repeated actions. Confirm the current recipe panel and batch options in your region.
Plan around proficiency and promotion
Higher proficiency improves success, and the Global guide says your proficiency relative to a recipe’s requirement affects the chance of success. That guide reports a promotion test at proficiency 50 and a current cap of 100 for Global version 1.0.21.0, updated October 7, 2026. It also says recipe proficiency values remain the same after you outgrow the requirement, at least through 50. Treat these as patch-sensitive Global details, not universal caps or rules.

Which discipline should you level first?
Choose for the output you actually want, rather than assuming one discipline is best for every character. The Global leveling guide recommends prioritizing the discipline that makes your desired weapon and says Armorsmithing and Cooking serve every class. A separate player-priority guide recommends starting with Alchemy, leveling Odyle gathering alongside it, then making the character’s weapon and Guard. These are differing recommendations, not official progression requirements.

- Output: Is the recipe for your class equipment, general armor, accessories, consumables or food?
- Proficiency: Does your current proficiency meet the recipe requirement, and are you approaching a promotion gate in your client?
- Materials: What do you already own, and what would you need to gather or buy?
- Recipe outcomes: Check any success, Combo or Splendent outcomes displayed in the current recipe panel.
- Future use: Does the crafted item serve as the source for an eligible Transfer Crafting recipe?
- Server market: If selling, compare ingredient and sale prices on your server. The Global guide warns that demand alone does not guarantee profit.
What does Transfer Crafting carry over?
Transfer Crafting is available only for eligible recipes; AION 2 Atlas says those recipes display a Transfer Crafting icon. Its summary of NC Corporation’s Taiwan Crafting Management guidebook, cited as updated May 15, 2026, describes the following behavior:
- Can transfer: Enhancement stages, breakthrough stages and Soul Inscription information.
- Resets: Manastones, godstones and fusion information.
- Changes: The Soul Inscription rate changes during transfer.

Record the source item’s state and compare it with the displayed target state. What does Substance Morph do?
Substance Morph consumes materials to create another item, including conversions involving gathered resources. AION 2 Atlas’s summary of the NC Taiwan Substance Morph guide, cited as updated November 14, 2025, says the interface lists the output, required materials and success probability, and that a conversion can fail.
There is no single universal conversion recipe, fixed success rate or permanent material quantity established across regions and builds. Check the current in-game display for the output, requirements and odds before starting. Aion2.app’s recipe database can help show recipe structures, but its entries do not establish live availability or guarantee the values shown in your client.

How to check a recipe before spending materials
- Open the relevant discipline in your regional client and select the recipe you intend to use.
- Check its required proficiency and materials against what you have available.
- Review the displayed success chance and any Combo or Splendent outcomes.
- If the item may be used for Transfer Crafting, verify that the target recipe has the transfer icon and inspect its retained and reset fields.
- For Substance Morph, check the listed output, required materials and success probability.
- If you are crafting to sell, compare current ingredient and sale prices on your server before committing.
These checks matter because the precise progression gate, recipe, transfer behavior and morph odds may change by region or patch; the client’s live recipe and confirmation displays are the relevant reference for your character.
