Citizen Attesa time-zone and daylight-saving settings depend on the watch’s caliber. Check the caliber on the caseback, paperwork, or model documentation before changing settings; do not use one movement’s button sequence on another. The procedures below cover the F150 and F950. For an F900 or another caliber, use its matching Citizen manual.

Identify your Attesa caliber first

Attesa is a range, not a single movement. Citizen provides separate manuals for the F150, F900, and F950, and its support guidance directs owners to instructions for their particular model or caliber. Look for the caliber marking on the caseback or in your watch’s paperwork or model documentation. If you cannot identify it, use Citizen’s manual index or Citizen US support before pressing buttons.

Choose the procedure for your movement

Movement Mode and crown position What you can change
F150 Crown position 1 World-time zone and SMT (daylight-saving) setting
F950 TME or LLI mode; crown position 2 Home or local time zone and DST setting; button B selects the target
F900 Follow the F900 manual 40-zone UTC-offset system; the exact button sequence should come from its manual

Set the time zone on an F150

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. Check the current setting: the second hand indicates the selected world-time zone, and the function hand indicates the DST state.
  3. Rotate the crown to select the zone for the current UTC offset at your location. The F150 manual describes 40 world-time zones represented by UTC offsets.
  4. Push the crown back to position 0 to finish.

Use the current UTC offset for your location rather than relying solely on a representative city label. Citizen says the F150 time-zone data is based on January 2015, and zone references can change.

Turn daylight saving time on or off on an F150

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. Check the second hand for the selected world-time setting and the function hand for the current DST state.
  3. Press and release the lower-right button to toggle SMT ON or SMT OFF.
  4. Push the crown back to position 0.

Citizen states that satellite signals do not contain DST information. Set SMT manually when local rules call for the change, including after the DST period ends.

Set the time zone on an F950

  1. Set the mode to TME or LLI, then pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. Read the second hand to check the home-time zone.
  3. To change the target from home time to local time, press the upper-right button B.
  4. Rotate the crown to select the required UTC-offset zone for the displayed target.
  5. Push the crown to position 0 to finish.

In UTC mode, the F950 manual says only the home time-zone setting can be changed. If you need to adjust local time, use TME or LLI.

Change DST on an F950

  1. Set the mode to TME or LLI and pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. Check the function hand for the home-time DST state.
  3. Press the lower-right button A to toggle home-time DST ON or OFF.
  4. To change local-time DST instead, press the upper-right button B to select local time, then press button A to toggle its DST setting.
  5. Push the crown to position 0 to finish.

In UTC mode, the F950 manual says only home-time DST can be changed. Satellite time information does not include DST, so adjust that setting manually to match local rules.

For an F900 or another Attesa caliber

Do not infer the F900 sequence from the F150 or F950. Citizen’s F900 manual describes a 40-zone UTC-offset system and confirms that satellite time signals omit DST information, which must be set manually. Use the official manual index to find the guide for your exact caliber and follow its controls and mode instructions.

If the displayed time is still wrong

  • Time is one hour off after reception: Check the DST setting separately; satellite reception does not set it.
  • The wrong time display changed: On the F950, confirm whether button B has selected home time or local time before adjusting the zone or DST.
  • A city label seems right but the time is not: Verify the location’s current UTC offset and DST rules rather than assuming the watch’s representative label is current. DST dates and rules differ by country or area.
  • You cannot identify the movement or the buttons do not match: Stop and consult the model-specific Citizen manual or support rather than trying another caliber’s sequence.
