If you want that site to open whenever Edge launches, set the separate startup option too. On Android or iOS, go to menu (…) > Settings > General > Home page, choose A specific page, enter the address, and tap Save.
Set the homepage on desktop Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge and select Settings and more (…) in the upper-right corner.
- Select Settings, then open Start, home, and new tab page.
- Turn on Show home button on the toolbar.
- Choose Enter URL, type or paste the website address, and confirm it. Microsoft also lets you choose New tab page instead. See Microsoft’s instructions for changing the browser home page.
The Home button appears on the toolbar after you enable it. Select it to open the page you chose.
Set the homepage in Edge on Android or iPhone
- Tap the menu (…) and open Settings.
- Go to General > Home page.
- Choose A specific page, enter a web address or use the currently open page, then tap Save.
- To restore Edge’s default home page, choose New tab page.
Microsoft’s mobile instructions describe the Home page setting in Edge for mobile FAQs. Another Microsoft help page lists the Android path as menu (…) > Settings > Home page; if you do not see General, look for Home page directly in Settings. See Microsoft Edge app help.
Homepage, startup page, and new-tab page are different
- Home page: The page opened by the Home button. On desktop, enable Show home button on the toolbar to display that button.
- Startup page: What Edge displays when you start the browser. Set this separately under Start, home, and new tab page if you want a particular site to appear at launch.
- New-tab page: What Edge displays when you open a new tab. Its layout and content are configured separately from the Home button and startup behavior.
Microsoft explains the separate startup and new-tab controls in Make the switch to Microsoft Edge. For a site to appear both when you click Home and when Edge starts, configure the Home button and startup behavior independently.

If the setting looks different
Microsoft’s support pages describe slightly different menu paths, and labels or placement may shift as Edge and its mobile apps update. Look for Home page in mobile Settings if the listed General category is absent. On desktop, the relevant controls are grouped under Start, home, and new tab page.
