For dedicated server hosting providers in Russia, Selectel is the strongest overall choice, Timeweb offers the clearest ready-server pricing, and Beget is attractive for support-oriented deployments. Servers.ru and IHC are strong hardware-focused alternatives. Prices and stock change frequently, while Cloud4Y, REG.RU, VDSina, and Firstbyte require current bare-metal verification before purchase.
This article is an August 2026 snapshot for buyers who need a physical server in a Russian data center—not merely a VPS, VDS instance, dedicated CPU allocation, or dedicated IP address. The ranking separates verified evidence from candidates that still need confirmation.
Key takeaways
- Selectel is the best overall shortlist choice when Russian locations, custom hardware, broader infrastructure, and compliance documentation matter.
- Timeweb displays ready-to-rent dedicated configurations from 8,613 ₽ per month, including an Intel Xeon E3-1230v5, 32 GB RAM, and two 2 TB HDDs.
- Beget emphasizes consultation, IPMI or control-panel access, 24/7 engineer support, and a trial period of up to seven days.
- Servers.ru advertises a network of up to 40 Gbit/s, but maximum backbone or port capacity is not the same as guaranteed server throughput.
- IHC offers root access and configurable hardware, but some listed installations may take approximately 10 days after payment.
- Cloud4Y, REG.RU, VDSina, and Firstbyte should not be treated as fully verified Russian bare-metal recommendations until their current physical inventory, locations, and commercial terms are confirmed.
What counts as a dedicated server in Russia?
A dedicated server is a physical machine rented exclusively by one customer and installed in a Russian data center. Selectel’s dedicated-server documentation describes the service as a physical server whose resources are available only to the customer.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThat definition excludes shared hosting, VPS, VDS, cloud instances with dedicated vCPUs, colocated customer-owned hardware, and products marketed as having “dedicated resources.” A provider must explicitly offer a single-tenant physical machine and identify a Russian hosting location.

| Service type | Who owns or controls the physical host? | Typical advantage | Why it is different from bare metal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared hosting | Provider; many customers share the service | Low price and simple administration | CPU, memory, and storage are shared |
| VPS/VDS | Provider; several virtual machines share a host | Low entry cost and fast resizing | Resources are virtualized |
| Cloud server | Provider; infrastructure is pooled and virtualized | Elasticity, automation, and multi-zone options | Capacity is usually allocated as virtual instances |
| Dedicated server | Provider supplies one physical machine to one customer | Predictable hardware performance and isolation | Scaling and replacement are less flexible |
| Colocation | Customer owns the hardware | Long-term control of equipment | The customer buys, ships, maintains, and replaces the server |
Which dedicated server hosting providers in Russia are the strongest?
The practical shortlist is Selectel for overall enterprise use, Timeweb for transparent ruble pricing, Beget for support-oriented hosting, Servers.ru for high-performance hardware, and IHC for configurable root-access servers. Cloud4Y is a provisional enterprise candidate; REG.RU, VDSina, and Firstbyte need additional verification rather than unqualified recommendations.
| Provider | Best for | Russian location status | Price or hardware signal | Verification status | Main caveat |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Selectel | Enterprise, custom infrastructure, compliance-sensitive workloads | Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Novosibirsk are advertised | Category-level signals from approximately 800 ₽/month; realistic configurations require checking | Strongly evidenced | Backups and administration are not automatically included |
| Timeweb | Transparent ready-made server catalog | Confirm the exact data center for the selected server | 8,613 ₽/month example for Xeon E3-1230v5, 32 GB, 2 × 2 TB HDD | Strongly evidenced | Low-priced systems may use older CPUs or HDDs |
| Beget | Managed websites, agencies, consultation | Confirm physical Russian location for each configuration | Displayed AMD EPYC example at 485 euros/month | Strongly evidenced | Public prices may be in euros and availability may vary |
| Servers.ru | GPU, storage, high-performance and unusual configurations | Confirm the location attached to each orderable server | Network advertised up to 40 Gbit/s; broad CPU and GPU catalog | Strongly evidenced | Maximum network capacity is not a throughput guarantee |
| IHC | Root access and configurable bare metal | Russian and European options are listed; separate them carefully | Example dual-Xeon, 256 GB RAM, 2 × 1,920 GB SSD at approximately 122,850 ₽/month | Strongly evidenced | Some installations may take approximately 10 days |
| Cloud4Y | Enterprise infrastructure alongside cloud services | Russia and Turkey are referenced; city and facility need confirmation | Current price and configuration detail not sufficiently exposed | Provisional | Validate inventory, SLA, backups, and management before ordering |
| REG.RU | Potential Russian-market alternative | Must confirm a current Russian bare-metal catalog | No publish-ready dedicated-server evidence in the dossier | Verification candidate | General hosting or VPS pages do not prove bare metal |
| VDSina | Low-cost virtual infrastructure if bare metal is not required | Must confirm true physical Russian servers | VDS availability alone is not evidence of dedicated servers | Verification candidate | Do not confuse VDS with a physical dedicated machine |
| Firstbyte or replacement provider | Additional Russian bare-metal alternative | Must confirm a physical Russian location | Current dedicated inventory and pricing need verification | Verification candidate | Replace it if the provider offers only VPS/VDS |
1. Selectel: best overall for enterprise infrastructure
Selectel is the strongest overall choice for organizations that need Russian data-center coverage, custom configurations, GPU options, and room to add cloud, storage, or networking services. Selectel advertises Russian dedicated-server locations including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Novosibirsk.
Selectel’s catalog distinguishes ready-made, custom, GPU, and desktop-processor server categories. The visible pricing signals start at approximately 800 ₽ per month for a dedicated-server category, approximately 5,000 ₽ per month for custom configurations, approximately 8,000 ₽ per month for prebuilt configurations, and approximately 15,000 ₽ per month for GPU servers. These are category-level starting signals, not equivalent production configurations, so the final bill must be checked in the ordering flow.
Selectel is also the clearest option in this list for a compliance discussion. Selectel states that dedicated-server configurations support processing personal data at security level 1 under Federal Law No. 152-FZ by default, while stricter requirements may require placement in a certified data-center segment. That statement is Selectel’s positioning, not a blanket certification of every customer application or every server.
Software administration remains the customer’s responsibility unless administration services are ordered. Selectel also states that backups are not created or stored by default. RAID, if selected, protects against some disk failures; RAID does not replace an independent backup.
Choose Selectel if: Russian geography, custom hardware, compliance documentation, and a broader infrastructure platform outweigh the need for the lowest simple monthly price.
Avoid it if: you expect fully managed patching, monitoring, and backups in the base rental price.

2. Timeweb: best for transparent ready-server pricing
Timeweb is the clearest value-oriented contender when a buyer wants a visible catalog of prebuilt servers and prices in rubles. Timeweb’s catalog displays an Intel Xeon E3-1230v5 system with 32 GB DDR4, two 2 TB HDDs, and a price of 8,613 ₽ per month.
Other displayed examples include an Intel E3-1286v3 with 32 GB DDR3 and two 480 GB SSDs at 9,099 ₽ per month, plus an Intel E-2236 with 16 GB DDR4 and two 480 GB SSDs at 10,764 ₽ per month. The catalog also includes Ryzen, NVMe, GPU, dual-CPU, high-memory, and large-storage configurations.
The low entry points need context. Older Xeon systems and HDD storage can be perfectly adequate for backup repositories, low-traffic applications, or bulk storage, but they may be poor choices for latency-sensitive databases, modern application servers, or heavily threaded workloads. Promotional discounts should also be distinguished from the normal recurring price.
Before ordering, confirm the exact Russian data center, included traffic, IPv4 and IPv6 availability, DDoS terms, operating-system installation, remote console access, backups, and support scope. The catalog demonstrates hardware choice; it does not by itself establish independent uptime or support performance.

Compare Timeweb dedicated-server configurations.
3. Beget: best for support-oriented website infrastructure
Beget suits agencies, website owners, and businesses that want help selecting and preparing a server instead of handling every infrastructure decision alone. Beget advertises individual hardware selection, IPMI or control-panel access, 24/7 technical support for engineers, and a trial period of up to seven days.
The displayed catalog includes GPU systems and high-end AMD EPYC hardware. One visible AMD EPYC 4564P configuration has 16 cores and 32 threads, 128 GB RAM, 1 TB NVMe, and two 1 TB drives in RAID1, priced at 485 euros per month. Beget’s dedicated-server page should be checked for the current currency, configuration, location, and trial conditions.

Choose Beget if: consultation, preparation, and accessible support are more important than a large ruble-denominated public price table.
Avoid it if: you need to compare dozens of immediately orderable Russian servers using one standardized public catalog.
4. Servers.ru: best for GPU and high-performance workloads
Servers.ru is a strong candidate for GPU, storage-heavy, and unusually configured workloads because the provider advertises dedicated servers, GPU servers, cloud hosting, and a broad hardware catalog. The catalog includes Intel Xeon, AMD Ryzen, AMD EPYC, NVMe, SSD, HDD, high-memory, GPU, and multi-CPU systems.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Servers.ru advertises network capacity of up to 40 Gbit/s. “Up to 40 Gbit/s” should be treated as a maximum advertised capability, not proof that every server receives a 40-Gbit/s port or unrestricted sustained throughput. Confirm the assigned port, included traffic, burst policy, DDoS filtering, and overage charges.
The range appears to extend from older, lower-cost Xeon machines to modern high-core-count AMD EPYC and Intel platforms. That breadth is useful, but it makes configuration-level comparison essential. A low price may reflect older silicon, HDDs, less memory, or a different Russian location.
Choose Servers.ru if: you need a specialized hardware profile, GPU capacity, or high network potential.

Avoid relying on the headline network figure if: your workload requires a guaranteed port rate or contractual throughput.
5. IHC: best for configurable root-access servers
IHC offers ready-made and configurable dedicated servers with full root access, making it suitable for technical customers who want direct control over the operating system and physical machine. IHC’s catalog includes Russian and European server options, including an example dual-Xeon system with 256 GB RAM and two 1,920 GB SSDs at approximately 122,850 ₽ per month.
The location must be checked carefully: a European option such as Amsterdam does not satisfy a strict Russian-location or Russian-data-residency requirement. The customer should also verify the precise facility, IPMI or KVM availability, traffic allowance, DDoS protection, IPv4 allocation, and hardware-replacement terms.
Deployment speed is a material weakness for urgent projects. IHC warns that some configurations may require approximately 10 days for installation after payment. A migration deadline should therefore be confirmed in writing for the exact selected server rather than inferred from the catalog.
Choose IHC if: root control and a hardware configurator matter more than immediate deployment.

6. Cloud4Y: provisional enterprise candidate
Cloud4Y is a credible enterprise-oriented candidate because it offers dedicated infrastructure alongside cloud services, but the available evidence does not expose enough current pricing, configurations, deployment information, traffic policy, or SLA detail for a confident ranking.
Cloud4Y’s official dedicated-server page references infrastructure in Russia and Turkey. Buyers who require a Russian physical location should confirm the city and data center attached to the quotation, then request CPU, RAM, storage, RAID, network, management, backup, DDoS, replacement, and cancellation terms.
Cloud4Y belongs on a procurement shortlist when an organization wants one supplier for cloud and dedicated infrastructure, but it should remain a quotation-and-verification option until those details are documented.
7. REG.RU: verify bare-metal availability before including it
REG.RU is a significant Russian-market hosting brand, but general hosting, domain, VPS, or VDS pages are not proof that a current physical dedicated-server catalog exists in Russia.
Before selecting REG.RU, confirm a current bare-metal product page, Russian data-center location, exact server configurations, recurring price, deployment time, root and IPMI access, backup policy, support model, and hardware-replacement terms. Without that evidence, REG.RU should be considered a verification candidate rather than a fully supported recommendation.

8. VDSina: relevant only if it truly offers Russian bare metal
VDSina may be useful for low-cost virtual infrastructure, but VDS availability alone does not qualify a provider for a dedicated-server ranking. A VDS is still a virtual machine even when the plan has reserved or dedicated resources.
Include VDSina in a bare-metal shortlist only if the current official site explicitly confirms physical, single-tenant servers in a Russian location, along with hardware specifications and rental terms. Otherwise, VDSina is better discussed as a VPS/VDS alternative for buyers who need low cost, rapid resizing, or development environments.
9. Firstbyte—or a verified replacement provider
Firstbyte can be considered for the ninth position only after confirming that it currently rents true physical dedicated servers in Russian data centers. The provider must expose or quote a current dedicated product, location, hardware, price, root or remote-management access, support, and replacement terms.
If Firstbyte offers only VPS/VDS in the relevant Russian location, replace it with another provider that satisfies the same evidence standard. A shorter verified list is more useful than padding a “nine best” article with virtual servers presented as bare metal.
How were the providers evaluated?
The ranking uses physical Russian location as the primary requirement and treats missing information as “not disclosed,” not as a zero or an implied benefit. The editorial weighting is:
| Criterion | Weight | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed Russian physical locations | 20% | City, data center, and location attached to the selected server |
| Hardware quality and range | 15% | CPU generation, cores, ECC RAM, NVMe, RAID, GPU, IPMI |
| Price-to-performance | 15% | Comparable configuration, VAT, traffic, storage, and recurring price |
| Network and DDoS options | 15% | Port speed, traffic quota, peering, filtering, and overage policy |
| Reliability and replacement | 10% | SLA, monitoring, spare hardware, and replacement clock |
| Management and support | 10% | OS setup, patching, administration, migration, and response terms |
| Backups and recovery | 5% | Off-server storage, retention, restore testing, and price |
| Compliance documentation | 5% | Data-residency options, certified segments, contracts, and customer duties |
| Deployment and ordering transparency | 5% | Stock, approval, installation time, and cancellation terms |
No provider should be called “fastest” or “most reliable” without independent testing, published operational data, or credible SLA evidence. A provider’s maximum network claim is not an independent benchmark.
How much do Russian dedicated servers cost?
In the August 2026 snapshot, displayed examples range from low-cost older-hardware systems to high-memory and dual-CPU servers costing well over 100,000 ₽ per month. Prices are not directly comparable unless CPU generation, RAM, storage, RAID, traffic, VAT, management, and deployment are aligned.
| Provider | Example configuration | Displayed price | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selectel | Category-level dedicated, custom, prebuilt, and GPU starting signals | Approximately 800–15,000 ₽/month depending on category | Not a like-for-like production configuration; verify at checkout |
| Timeweb | Xeon E3-1230v5, 32 GB DDR4, 2 × 2 TB HDD | 8,613 ₽/month | Snapshot price; confirm promotion, VAT, traffic, and location |
| Timeweb | Intel E-2236, 16 GB DDR4, 2 × 480 GB SSD | 10,764 ₽/month | Snapshot price; SSD capacity and CPU may suit different workloads |
| Beget | AMD EPYC 4564P, 16 cores/32 threads, 128 GB RAM, NVMe and RAID storage | 485 euros/month | Original currency; confirm availability and Russian location |
| IHC | Dual Xeon, 256 GB RAM, 2 × 1,920 GB SSD | Approximately 122,850 ₽/month | Example catalog price; installation may take approximately 10 days |
The figures above were visible in provider results around August 2026. They should not be presented as April 2026 prices without archived April evidence. Also check VAT, setup fees, IP addresses, traffic, control panels, Windows licensing, backups, DDoS protection, minimum rental periods, and promotional expiry.
When is a VPS, VDS, or cloud server better?
A VPS, VDS, or cloud server is usually better when flexibility and low entry cost matter more than permanently reserved physical hardware. Selectel’s virtual-server pricing illustrates the difference: Selectel offers low-entry VDS plans and hourly billing.
| Choose dedicated bare metal when you need | Choose VPS/VDS or cloud when you need |
|---|---|
| Predictable physical CPU, memory, and disk performance | Rapid resizing or hourly billing |
| Large databases, high traffic, or sustained computation | Disposable development and testing environments |
| GPU, large storage, or specialized hardware | Snapshots, automation, and managed services |
| Single-tenant physical isolation | Elastic or burst capacity |
| A fixed Russian physical location for a workload | Multi-zone or multi-region failover architecture |
Cloud or VDS may also be the better first step for a new application whose resource requirements are uncertain. A dedicated server becomes more attractive when utilization is consistently high, performance must be predictable, or the workload needs hardware that virtual plans do not expose.

- Network: distinguish the server’s assigned port from the provider’s backbone. Confirm sustained throughput, traffic quota, burst rules, IPv4, IPv6, peering, and DDoS limits.
- Remote access: IPMI, KVM, rescue mode, and remote console access can turn a boot or firewall failure into a self-service recovery rather than a support ticket.
- GPU: verify the exact GPU model, VRAM, driver support, virtualization restrictions, and whether GPU time or the whole physical machine is being rented.
Timeweb’s catalog is a useful example of why this detail matters: the same provider lists older Xeon systems, newer Xeon E-series hardware, Ryzen, NVMe, GPU, and dual-CPU servers.
What are the management and backup responsibilities?
Dedicated-server rental usually supplies hardware and connectivity, not a fully operated application environment. The contract should state who installs the operating system, applies security updates, configures firewalls, monitors services, manages databases, performs migrations, and handles emergencies.
Backups deserve separate attention. RAID protects availability after some disk failures but does not protect against accidental deletion, ransomware, corrupted databases, bad deployments, or loss of the entire machine. Ask whether backups are included, where they are stored, how long they are retained, how restores are tested, and whether off-site storage is available.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Selectel’s documentation is an important example: the customer administers server software and backups are not created or stored by default unless additional services are arranged. That responsibility boundary should not be generalized to every provider; it should be confirmed contractually for the selected plan.
What should Russian businesses verify for compliance?
A Russian data-center location can help satisfy a data-residency requirement, but physical location alone does not make an application compliant. The customer may still need appropriate contracts, access controls, encryption, logging, personnel procedures, backup handling, and application security.
For personal-data processing, ask whether the provider offers an appropriate certified data-center segment, whether certification applies to the exact server pool, what security controls are included, and which obligations remain with the customer. Selectel distinguishes ordinary dedicated infrastructure from a certified segment for stricter information-security and regulated-data requirements. Treat that distinction as provider-specific and obtain current documentation before signing.
What should you ask before ordering?
- Is the selected machine a physical single-tenant server, not a VPS, VDS, dedicated-vCPU instance, or dedicated IP?
- Which Russian city and data center will host the exact server?
- Is the advertised configuration in stock, manually assembled, or subject to approval?
- What are the CPU model, RAM type and capacity, disk models, RAID controller, and replacement procedure?
- What port speed is assigned to the server, and how much traffic is included or metered?
- Are IPv4 addresses, IPv6, DDoS filtering, remote console, IPMI, and rescue mode included?
- Does the base price include OS installation, control-panel licensing, monitoring, patching, and administration?
- Are backups included? Where are they stored, what is the retention period, and how is restoration tested?
- What are the SLA, support hours, hardware-replacement response, and weekend or holiday procedures?
- Does the displayed price include VAT, setup, traffic, licenses, additional IPs, and recurring add-ons?
- What are the minimum rental period, cancellation notice, refund, and data-destruction terms?
- Can the provider confirm the delivery date in writing for this exact configuration?
How should you migrate to a Russian dedicated server?
- Confirm the physical location, configuration, availability, price, VAT, traffic, and cancellation terms.
- Request IPMI or KVM, rescue access, operating-system support, and the hardware-replacement procedure.
- Take a tested backup and define a rollback plan before changing DNS or production traffic.
- Test routes from the real user regions and benchmark storage, network throughput, and application performance.
- Install a supported operating system, remove unused services, harden SSH or remote access, configure firewall rules, and enable monitoring.
- Replicate the application and database, validate permissions, and test restore procedures.
- Switch traffic during a controlled maintenance window with low DNS TTL where appropriate.
- Keep the old server online until application metrics, logs, backups, and customer traffic confirm stable operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Russian dedicated server have to be hosted in Russia?
For this ranking, yes: “in Russia” means the physical server is located in a Russian data center. A provider that accepts Russian customers or offers Russian network connectivity from Amsterdam, Turkey, or another country does not satisfy the primary location requirement.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Is RAID a substitute for backups on a dedicated server?
No. RAID can protect against some disk failures, but RAID does not protect against deletion, ransomware, application corruption, or total server loss. Use independent, tested backups stored separately from the production server.
Are dedicated CPU VPS and VDS plans dedicated servers?
No. Dedicated CPU, reserved RAM, and dedicated IP products can still run as virtual machines on a shared physical host. A dedicated server requires explicit confirmation of a physical single-tenant machine.
What is the cheapest dedicated server in Russia?
There is no universal cheapest option because price depends on the exact CPU, RAM, disks, traffic, VAT, location, and promotional terms. In the August 2026 snapshot, Timeweb displayed an 8,613 ₽ monthly example using a Xeon E3-1230v5, 32 GB RAM, and two 2 TB HDDs, but the configuration and price require current confirmation.
The Bottom Line
Selectel is the safest overall starting point for enterprise and compliance-sensitive buyers, Timeweb is the easiest value comparison, and Beget is appealing when support and preparation matter. Servers.ru and IHC deserve consideration for specialized hardware and root control. Treat every price as a dated configuration snapshot, confirm that the server is physically in Russia, and never assume that bandwidth, backups, management, or compliance are included without written confirmation.
