The best MagSafe-style power bank for an iPhone is no longer automatically a 7.5W accessory. Qi2-certified models now offer up to 15W, and newer Qi2 25W banks can take advantage of higher wireless-charging limits on compatible iPhones. The phone, case, temperature, alignment, and battery level still determine the result.

This guide compares 13 current magnetic power banks using published hands-on testing and verified specifications. It separates genuine Apple MagSafe compatibility from third-party Qi2 alignment, calls out non-replaceable cables and capacity limitations, and identifies which models make sense for travel, thinness, stands, grips, or wired charging.

Quick picks

Power bank Best for Key specification Main drawback
Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K) (Qi2) Best overall 10,000mAh, Qi2 up to 15W, USB-C up to 27W Less than two full wireless iPhone charges
Sharge Icemag 3 Cooling and design 10,000mAh, Qi2 up to 25W, wired up to 35W Attached USB-C cable cannot be removed
Baseus Picogo Qi2 25W High-output built-in cable 10,000mAh, wireless up to 25W, cable up to 45W Thick and heavy
Anker 622 MagGo A1614 Inexpensive stand 5,000mAh, 7.5W wireless, 12W wired Not Qi2
Torras MiniMag Thin design 5,000mAh, 7.5W wireless, 18W USB-C Wireless charging is slow

Best choice for most people: the Anker MagGo 10K balances capacity, useful wired output, a display, a kickstand, and reliable Qi2 alignment. Choose the Sharge Icemag 3 or Baseus 10K if your iPhone supports faster Qi2 charging and you accept a thicker design.

13 best MagSafe power banks

1. Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K) (Qi2) — best overall

This is the most balanced option in the group. Its 10,000mAh battery, built-in display, kickstand, Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W, and USB-C output up to 27W cover everyday top-ups without requiring a separate cable for wireless use.

WIRED recorded an iPhone 14 Pro gaining 25% in about 20 minutes. That is a useful real-world result, but the bank delivered less than two complete wireless charges. As with any magnetic battery, the advertised 10,000mAh capacity is not the same as the amount reaching the phone after voltage conversion and wireless losses.

Buy it for: a dependable all-rounder with a display and stand.
Watch for: Anker sells several MagGo models. Confirm that the listing is the 10K Qi2 version before ordering.

2. Sharge Icemag 3 — best design and cooling

The Icemag 3 stands out with a 10,000mAh capacity, Qi2 wireless output up to 25W, a permanently attached USB-C cable capable of up to 35W, a second USB-C port, a kickstand, and an RGB cooling fan. The fan’s light can be disabled, so the visual design does not have to remain active while charging.

The cooling system is useful because wireless charging produces more heat than wired charging, and heat can reduce charging speed. The important compromise is the attached cable: if it wears out, you cannot replace it independently.

Buy it for: fast Qi2 charging and a distinctive design.
Watch for: a permanently attached cable and a bulkier body than thin 5K banks.

3. Ridge Power Bank — best built-in cable versatility

Ridge combines a 10,000mAh battery with built-in Lightning and USB-C cables, a separate USB-C port, 15W wireless charging, a 20W wired limit, a display, and a kickstand. It is particularly practical if you still carry an older Lightning accessory alongside a USB-C iPhone.

The Lightning lead is for compatibility, not higher speed. Its presence also means another permanently attached part that cannot be swapped like a normal charging cable. WIRED lists a limited lifetime warranty, but check the seller’s current warranty terms and regional coverage.

4. Baseus Picogo Qi2 25W MagSafe Portable Charger — best high-output built-in cable

This 10,000mAh model supports Qi2 wireless charging up to 25W, has a built-in USB-C cable rated up to 45W, includes another USB-C port, and can charge three devices at the same time. It is the strongest choice here for someone who wants a magnetic charger but also expects laptop-style USB-C output from the same accessory.

Its cost is size: the bank weighs approximately 9.6 ounces and is relatively thick. That makes it less comfortable to leave attached in a pocket than a slim 5,000mAh model.

Do not confuse it with: the separate Baseus PicoGo Qi2 5K, which has different capacity, charging, and grip features.

The A1614 is a compact 5,000mAh battery with 7.5W wireless charging, 12W wired charging, a foldable stand, and a weight of about 5 ounces. WIRED measured a 78% increase on an iPhone 14 Pro, making it a good inexpensive choice for topping up while watching video or using the phone on a desk.

It does not support Qi2, so it is slower than the newer Qi2 models. Check the model number carefully: the newer A1614 has its USB-C port on the side, unlike the older version.

6. Torras MiniMag — best ultra-thin option

At approximately 0.3 inches thick and 4 ounces, the Torras MiniMag is easier to carry attached to an iPhone than most 10,000mAh banks. It has a 5,000mAh capacity, strong magnets, 7.5W wireless charging, and an 18W USB-C output.

This is a portability-first product. The wireless speed is substantially below Qi2 models, and 5,000mAh is intended for a top-up rather than repeated full recharges.

7. Pitaka Aramid Fiber Magnetic Power Bank — best for Pitaka cases

Pitaka’s 5,000mAh bank is designed to complement the company’s aramid-fiber case ecosystem. It is approximately 0.35 inches thick and 4.16 ounces, supports Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W, and provides up to 20W through USB-C.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The textured finish and matching case design are the main reasons to choose it. If you do not use Pitaka accessories, a competing Qi2 bank may provide similar charging with a more useful stand, display, or larger capacity.

8. PopSockets MagSafe PowerPack — best integrated grip

The PowerPack combines a 5,000mAh battery with a foldaway PopSocket grip, a 7.5W wireless limit, 20W wired charging, an LED battery indicator, and a supplied one-foot USB-C cable. Its grip is more useful than a flat battery when you regularly hold your phone one-handed.

It is designed primarily for topping up. The 5,000mAh capacity and wireless losses make it less suitable for restoring a large phone from near-empty, but the integrated grip can justify the trade-off for PopSockets users. WIRED lists a three-year warranty.

9. Baseus PicoGo Qi2 MagSafe Power Bank 5K — best grip-and-stand design

This 5,000mAh Baseus model has Qi2-certified 15W wireless charging, 20W USB-C output, and a rotating O-ring that works as both a grip and a stand. It weighs approximately 6 ounces. WIRED reported that it almost fully charged an iPhone 14 Pro from 10%.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The rotating ring makes it more versatile than a basic magnetic battery, especially on a tray table or desk. Verify that you are buying the 5K version rather than Baseus’s larger Picogo Qi2 25W model.

10. Kuxiu S2 Magnetic Solid State Power Bank — best solid-state option

The Kuxiu S2 is a 5,000mAh, approximately 0.32-inch-thick battery weighing about 5.1 ounces. It supports Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W and USB-C charging up to 20W.

Its solid-state construction is the headline feature. However, claims about being puncture-resistant, drop-resistant, fire-resistant, or longer-lived should be treated as manufacturer positioning rather than independent safety guarantees. “Solid-state” is not the same as “fireproof.”

11. EcoFlow Rapid Qi2 Power Bank — best fast wired charging in a compact model

The EcoFlow Rapid supports Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W and USB-C output up to 36W. It supports PD 3.0, PPS, and QC 3.0 and includes a kickstand, making it attractive if wired charging speed matters more than maximum wireless output.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Capacity and regional model details vary in current listings. Check the exact model number and capacity before purchase rather than assuming every product sold as “Rapid Qi2” has the same specification.

12. Anker Nano Power Bank Qi2 — best slim 5K option

The Qi2 Anker Nano is approximately 0.34 inches thick and provides wireless charging up to 15W. In WIRED testing it stayed cool and charged compatible phones to slightly above 50%, a useful result for a slim emergency battery.

Anker uses “Nano” across multiple power-bank products. Confirm that the retail listing is the Qi2 model and verify whether it is the 5,000mAh version before comparing it with other 5K banks.

13. Mous MagSafe-Compatible Wireless Power Bank — best mid-capacity compact option

Mous’s bank sits between common 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh models with a 6,000mAh capacity, 15W wireless charging, USB-C output up to 20W, and a rounded soft-touch body. WIRED reported a typical 70–80% refill.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

It is somewhat thick, but the extra capacity can make it a sensible compromise for buyers who want more than a slim 5K bank without moving to a full-size 10K model. It is described as MagSafe-compatible, not as an Apple-certified MagSafe battery.

Qi2 versus MagSafe: what the label means

Apple’s MagSafe is Apple’s magnetic charging system. Qi2 is an industry standard that provides magnetic alignment and broad interoperability. For a third-party power bank, “Qi2-certified” is the useful label to look for.

Do not read a product’s maximum wireless wattage as the speed your iPhone will always receive. Apple’s current limits include:

iPhone 16 and 16 Pro Up to 22.5W
iPhone 17e, iPhone 15, and earlier models listed by Apple Up to 15W with the older MagSafe configuration

A Qi2 25W bank can therefore be worthwhile for some current iPhones, but the phone, bank, case, temperature, battery level, and alignment all matter. USB-C remains faster and generally more efficient than wireless charging.

Compatibility warnings before you buy

  • iPhone 16e lacks the built-in MagSafe magnet array. A magnetic case can add attachment, but test the case and bank combination. For dependable charging, treat the 16e primarily as a wired-power-bank use case.
  • Use a MagSafe-compatible case. Thick cases, wallet cases, cards, passports, security badges, and key fobs can weaken the magnetic connection, interfere with charging, or create heat and safety problems. Remove a wallet before attaching a magnetic battery.
  • Expect throttling when hot. iOS may limit charging above 80% when the iPhone becomes too warm. Wireless charging can also slow or stop when the bank or phone overheats.
  • Capacity ratings are not phone-charge ratings. A 5,000mAh bank will not transfer 5,000mAh to the iPhone wirelessly. Conversion and heat losses reduce the usable result.
  • Pass-through charging varies. Do not assume that plugging the bank into USB-C while the iPhone is attached will charge both in the way you expect.
  • Built-in cables are convenient but permanent. The cable on models such as the Sharge Icemag 3 and Baseus Picogo is not a normal replaceable lead.

How these power banks should be tested

A meaningful comparison should use the same iPhone, case, cable, adapter, room conditions, and starting percentages for every model. Record the exact model number because product families often contain slower older versions with similar names.

  1. Record capacity, weight, dimensions, firmware or app version, wireless limit, wired limit, ports, and included cables.
  2. With the same MagSafe-compatible case, measure wireless charging from 20% to 50% and from 20% to 80% on the same iPhone.
  3. Repeat those measurements over USB-C using the same cable and charger.
  4. Fully charge the bank, then record the net percentage added to the phone rather than treating the advertised mAh as delivered capacity.
  5. Measure how long the empty bank takes to recharge.
  6. Record surface temperature and note whether charging throttles or stops.
  7. Test magnetic hold through the case, including removing the phone from a pocket and checking camera-bump interference.
  8. Test the stand in portrait and landscape, plus pass-through charging and simultaneous wired/wireless output where supported.

Published hands-on testing used for this comparison followed a similar approach: extended use, measuring the battery added by a full bank, checking cables and extra ports, and timing recharge from empty.

Using a MagSafe power bank on a plane

In the United States, spare lithium-ion power banks must be carried in carry-on baggage, not checked luggage. Batteries up to 100Wh are generally allowed. A 101–160Wh battery requires airline approval and is limited to two spare batteries; batteries over 160Wh are forbidden. Most 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh phone banks are below 100Wh, but use the printed Wh rating and check the airline’s current rules.

FAQ

What is the best MagSafe power bank for an iPhone in 2026?

The Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K) Qi2 is the best overall balance of capacity, wireless charging, wired output, display, and kickstand. The Sharge Icemag 3 is a better fit if you specifically want Qi2 25W charging and active cooling.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Is Qi2 the same as MagSafe?

No. MagSafe is Apple’s magnetic charging system, while Qi2 is an industry standard with comparable magnetic alignment and wider interoperability. For third-party banks, look for Qi2 certification rather than assuming every magnetic charger is Apple MagSafe.

Will a 10,000mAh power bank charge an iPhone twice?

Usually not wirelessly. Voltage conversion, heat, wireless-transfer losses, the iPhone model, and the charging percentage all reduce the usable output. A 10,000mAh rating describes the bank’s cell capacity, not two guaranteed full phone charges.

Can an iPhone 16e attach to a MagSafe power bank?

The iPhone 16e does not include the built-in MagSafe magnet array. A magnetic case can provide attachment, but compatibility and alignment depend on that case. Wired USB-C charging is the safer recommendation unless the specific case and bank combination has been tested.

The Bottom Line

Buy the Anker MagGo 10K Qi2 for the best general-purpose balance. Pick the Sharge Icemag 3 or Baseus Picogo Qi2 25W for higher-output charging, the Torras MiniMag or Anker Nano Qi2 for a thin 5K battery, and the PopSockets PowerPack or Baseus PicoGo 5K when a grip matters as much as charging.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Before ordering, verify the exact model number, check whether your iPhone supports the advertised rate, and use a compatible case. A magnetic attachment does not guarantee fast charging, and a large mAh number does not guarantee a matching amount of battery delivered to the phone.
