If your YouTube Live stream keeps disconnecting on JioFiber, first use the timestamps and messages in YouTube Live Control Room to identify when the problem occurs. Then check the encoder’s local output and logs, measure sustained upload speed, and compare the results with your stream’s total bitrate. YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload capacity in reserve. These checks can narrow down whether the likely trouble is the encoder, local network, internet connection, or YouTube ingest; they cannot establish that JioFiber caused a particular interruption.
1. Find out where the stream is failing
Read YouTube’s stream-health timeline
Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room for the affected broadcast and check the stream-health indicator and its messages. YouTube attaches timestamps to errors, and an unresolved error continues to appear. Note the time of each warning or disconnection, then compare it with your encoder logs and any local network events. A matching time can help distinguish a problem visible at YouTube’s ingest from one that also appears in your encoder or connection.
Check what the encoder is actually sending
Inspect the outgoing audio and video, encoder status, CPU load, and any warnings or errors in the software you use to send the stream. If your workflow records a local archive, check whether it plays correctly and whether it continues to grow around the time of a disconnect. A healthy local output while the live stream fails makes outbound connectivity a useful next area to investigate, but does not by itself identify the responsible provider or network segment.
2. Test upload capacity against your stream bitrate
Download speed is not a substitute for upload speed: a live encoder has to send its video and audio continuously to YouTube. YouTube’s guidance says the total stream bitrate must fit within available upload bandwidth and recommends leaving 20% headroom. Other people and devices using the same connection can reduce the capacity available to the streaming computer.

Run upload tests at different times, especially near the timestamps of interruptions, and record the results alongside YouTube’s health messages and encoder logs. A speed test is a momentary sample, not proof that a connection can sustain the same rate throughout a 24/7 broadcast. Repeated measurements and timestamps are a practical way to look for a pattern; they are not a Jio-specific test protocol.
Compare the selected settings with YouTube’s H.264 examples
YouTube’s current encoder guidance gives these H.264 ingestion bitrate examples. They are YouTube recommendations, not guaranteed upload speeds for any JioFiber plan. Other codecs and frame rates have different recommendations, so check YouTube’s current encoder settings table for your exact format before changing your setup.

Include audio and any other encoded stream components when considering total bitrate. If upload capacity is below, or repeatedly too close to, the total bitrate, lower the resolution or bitrate to a level the connection can sustain. YouTube’s 20% headroom recommendation means that a stream should not consume all of the available upload capacity.
3. Verify encoder and ingest settings
For the H.264 configuration described in YouTube’s encoder guidance, the listed settings include RTMP or RTMPS transport, H.264 video, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds. YouTube supports other codec and settings combinations, so do not treat H.264 as the only valid option for every encoder or workflow.

- Confirm the encoder is configured for the format you intend to send and that its bitrate matches the chosen resolution and frame rate.
- Check for format or bitrate errors in Live Control Room and correct the specific setting the message identifies.
- Review encoder logs around each event timestamp for dropped frames, connection errors, or an encoder failure.
- Update or restart the encoder only as a deliberate troubleshooting step; note the prior settings so you can restore them if the change does not help.
4. Test the local connection
If the streaming computer uses Wi-Fi, test a wired Ethernet connection to see whether the local wireless link is contributing to the interruptions. Compare the result at the same bitrate and, where possible, under similar network-use conditions. This is a diagnostic comparison, not a guarantee of a fix: Ethernet will not correct an ISP-side fault, an encoder crash, or a YouTube ingest problem.
Also note whether other devices are using the connection heavily during a disconnect. YouTube warns that network sharing can reduce the bandwidth available to an individual connection. Avoid changing unverified router settings or assuming a particular JioFiber setting or plan tier is responsible; the available Jio materials do not provide a symptom-specific procedure for this YouTube Live problem.

5. Contact Jio with a useful incident record
If the encoder’s local output remains healthy while upload tests or connection checks show trouble, contact your internet service provider for line-level troubleshooting. When contacting Jio, provide the event times, repeated upload-test results, Live Control Room health messages, encoder logs, selected bitrate, and whether the computer was connected by Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Jio publishes broadband wireline quality-of-service reporting, but an aggregate report cannot diagnose an individual subscriber’s line. The available Jio sources do not establish that JioFiber caused a specific interruption or guarantee uninterrupted upload for 24/7 streaming.

A longer operating window gives an intermittent problem more opportunity to appear. Test the broadcast workflow for a meaningful period before relying on it, monitor the stream’s audio and video, and check that any local archive remains playable and continues to grow if your encoder supports recording. YouTube’s setup guidance discusses cloud-based tools as a category for streaming prerecorded video continuously; moving the encoder off a home computer can remove that computer as a continuous-running requirement, but it does not make internet connectivity or YouTube ingest irrelevant.
