The available New York Post excerpt does not provide the game’s sportsbook odds, so this is the columnist’s recommendation—not a current price or an independently verified forecast.
Who is Stitches picking for Yankees vs. Rays Game 1?
The New York Post excerpt lists a $50 Game 1 pick on Gerrit Cole and the Yankees. It identifies the matchup as Yankees vs. Rays in the American League Division Series, but gives no bookmaker, odds, or bet market details beyond the selection.
What are Stitches’ other listed picks?
The excerpt also lists $50 series picks on the Yankees, White Sox, Dodgers, and Padres. It does not specify the precise market or odds for those series selections, so they should not be read as a fully priced betting card.
What is known about Stitches’ track record?
The excerpt says Stitches has handicapped baseball for the Post since 2019 and has finished in the black twice. It does not identify the years, provide a complete betting record, explain unit accounting, or describe a forecasting method. That statement alone cannot establish a win rate or return on investment.

What the excerpt does not establish
- Current sportsbook odds or an implied probability for either team.
- Confirmed starting lineups, venue, injuries, rest, or matchup statistics.
- The result of Game 1.
Without a quoted price, the $50 recommendation does not reveal the potential payout or whether the wager represents good value. Compare the same market and price across sportsbooks, and check the timestamp, before treating any number as a live line.
