XREAL’s One Series turns a USB-C video feed into a large virtual screen that can float in front of you or stay anchored in physical space. Announced in December 2024, the XREAL One and One Pro pair 1080p-per-eye, 120 Hz displays with Bose-tuned built-in audio; the Pro adds a wider field of view and a different optical design. These are tethered glasses, not standalone computers: the connected phone, laptop or gaming device supplies the video.
What makes the XREAL One Series spatial?
The key component is XREAL’s X1 spatial co-processor, built into the glasses. It processes video arriving over USB-C and presents it as a virtual display with three degrees of freedom (3DoF). In practice, the screen can move with your view or remain anchored to a position in the room as you turn your head. XREAL says the system reaches about 3 ms motion-to-photon latency at 120 Hz; that is a manufacturer specification, not an independent test result. XREAL’s One Series announcement
The spatial screen does not make the glasses a self-contained streaming device. A compatible connected source still has to provide video, and the glasses need a wired USB-C connection.
What is the difference between XREAL One and One Pro?
The main trade-off is a wider view and a different optical design on the Pro, alongside higher stated peak brightness. XREAL’s December 2024 launch specifications are:

Are XREAL One glasses good for watching movies?
They are designed to put a large virtual screen in front of you, making movie viewing a natural use case. The 1080p-per-eye resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate are the stated display specifications, while the spatial processing lets you choose a floating screen or anchor it in place. Whether the image feels large or comfortable depends on your fit and viewing preferences; the field of view is 50° on One and 57° on One Pro.
Audio is built into the glasses and custom-tuned by Bose. XREAL’s announcement quotes Bose Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development Nick Smith describing the tuning as intended to make content sound more vibrant and lifelike. That is a product claim, not independent audio testing.

Do XREAL One glasses work with an iPhone, MacBook or Steam Deck?
XREAL lists iPhone, Android devices, Steam Deck, Windows PCs and MacBooks among compatible sources, but compatibility depends on whether the particular device supports video output over USB-C. A matching connector alone does not guarantee that a phone or computer can send a display signal to the glasses. Check the source device’s video-output support before buying.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you add a camera or use Beam Pro?
XREAL Eye is an optional detachable RGB camera accessory. XREAL rates it for 12 MP photos and video up to 1080p at 60 frames per second. Beam Pro bundles are also described for holographic overlays and first-person capture workflows; these are separate accessories and are not required for the glasses’ USB-C virtual-screen function.

- YOUR PRIVATE 147” BIG SCREEN, ANYWHERE — Plug the a01+ into your phone, tablet, handheld, or laptop and a giant 147” screen appears in front of you—for movies, gaming, or getting work done on the couch, on a flight, or in bed. A true portable display you wear, in a soda-can-sized 210g case that drops in your pocket.
- ALWAYS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU — The screen follows your view with smooth, stabilized tracking and stays centered as you look around—nothing to anchor or set up, and no drift to reset. Press play and your big screen is simply there.
- 62G — LIGHT ENOUGH TO FORGET — At just 62g, with three nose-pad sizes and flexible temples, the a01+ stays comfortable through a long movie or flight, even lying down.
- LOOKS LIKE SUNGLASSES, NOT A GADGET — A slim, sunglasses-style frame with a signature semi-transparent chassis and neon logo—light and low-profile enough to actually wear out.
- WORKS WITH YOUR USB-C GEAR — No Battery to Charge — Connects and powers over a single USB-C DisplayPort cable: iPhone 15/16/17, iPad, DP-capable Android phones, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Mac and PC. Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 and older (Lightning) iPhones need an adapter. For long phone sessions, add the XREAL Hub to charge and watch at once.
