Yes. Xiaomi lists Dolby Atmos decoding and Dolby Vision support for the original Xiaomi TV Stick 4K, an Android TV 11 streamer that outputs up to 4K. To get Atmos playback, the app and title, TV, and connected audio equipment must also support the relevant formats; the specification alone does not guarantee Atmos for every stream.
What the original Xiaomi TV Stick 4K offers
The original model is a compact HDMI streaming stick running Android TV 11. Xiaomi’s US specification lists 4K output, a quad-core Cortex-A35 processor, Mali-G31 MP2 graphics, 2GB RAM and 8GB storage. Its supported video codecs include AV1, VP9, H.265, H.264, MPEG-2 and MPEG-1. For audio, Xiaomi lists DTS HD and Dolby Atmos decoding. Xiaomi’s US specifications give its dimensions as 106.8 × 29.4 × 15.4 mm and weight as 42.8 g.
The device connects to a TV over HDMI and uses Micro-USB for power. Xiaomi lists dual-band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. In the box are the stick, Bluetooth remote, power adapter, manual and HDMI extender cable. Xiaomi India’s product page also lists Dolby Vision, Google Assistant, Chromecast built-in and PatchWall recommendations, and advertises access to “10000+ apps” through Google Play. It says Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube are pre-installed; Google Assistant availability varies by market.
What Dolby Atmos support means in practice
Atmos support is useful only when the whole playback chain can deliver it. The video or audio service must offer an Atmos track for the title, the app must pass it through correctly, and the TV and connected sound system must support the relevant formats. Without compatible content and equipment, the stick may still stream video, but you should not assume you will hear Atmos.

Xiaomi also lists Dolby Vision, a high-dynamic-range picture format. Seeing Dolby Vision requires compatible content and a display that supports it; the stick’s specification does not make every stream or television use that format. Android Authority’s review describes Dolby Vision and Atmos as useful with compatible home-entertainment equipment. Android Authority’s review assesses the original model.
Is it worth buying?
The original stick is most compelling if you specifically want a small Android TV device with 4K output and Dolby Vision and Atmos support. Android Authority’s 2022 review praised its improved performance over Xiaomi’s earlier 1080p stick, simple voice remote and clean Android TV 11 software. The review called it capable and reasonably priced at the time, but that assessment is not a current price recommendation: availability and regional pricing can change.

Its compromises matter more if you want newer connections or customization. The HDMI extender cable is included, which can help when a TV’s HDMI ports are awkwardly placed.

Can it upgrade an older TV to 4K streaming?
It can add streaming apps and 4K output to a TV with a working HDMI input, but it cannot turn a non-4K screen into a 4K display. For 4K picture, the television must itself have a 4K panel and the stream must be available in 4K. HDR formats likewise depend on the TV and the content. The stick also needs power through its Micro-USB connection and a Wi-Fi network for streaming.

Android Authority names Chromecast with Google TV, Roku Streaming Stick 4K and Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max as alternatives. They differ in interface, remote features, supported formats, wireless capabilities and advertising, so compare the exact model and region rather than assuming all 4K streamers behave alike. Chromecast with Google TV is highlighted for its Google TV interface and USB-C power; the Roku and Amazon options also offer 4K but use different interfaces and advertising approaches.
