What is reported about the proposed X and Grok plans?
Search-result summaries attribute the proposal to Bloomberg, which reportedly reviewed an internal company document. They say SpaceXAI is considering one subscription covering X and Grok: a Lite plan reportedly priced at $8 per month with Grok access and a verified mark, and a possible Ultra tier at $100 per month. The underlying Bloomberg report was not independently reviewed for this article, and neither X nor xAI’s official product pages confirm these plans.

What X Premium offers now

Does an X subscription automatically give you a blue check?
No. X says the blue checkmark means an account has an active Premium subscription and meets its eligibility requirements. Premium includes the checkmark as a potential benefit, but X reviews profiles before applying it. X ended its legacy verification program beginning April 1, 2023. The former process assessed whether accounts were active, notable, and authentic; the current subscriber check is tied to a paid Premium subscription plus eligibility criteria.
