Games carried nationally or by a local broadcaster in your area may be blacked out live on League Pass. Check the individual game’s schedule to find its live outlet; replay availability depends on the blackout type.
What WNBA League Pass includes
The WNBA’s current product page advertises live out-of-market games, on-demand games, hundreds of classic games, up to three simultaneous devices, selected alternate and Spanish-language broadcasts, rewind, live stats, and an NBA TV subscription for this season. Actual live availability depends on your location and the game’s broadcast assignment. See the WNBA League Pass page for current details.
The listed annual price is $39.99 per year. Monthly billing is offered, but the current monthly amount is not stated on the product page; check the purchase screen for the price and billing terms before subscribing.
How League Pass compares with local and national broadcasts
| Viewing route | What it generally provides | League Pass live availability |
|---|---|---|
| WNBA League Pass | Live out-of-market games, on-demand games, and archive viewing | Games subject to local or national blackouts may not be available live |
| Local broadcaster or streaming partner | Games assigned to a station, regional sports network, or local streaming partner in your market | Locally televised games in your area are not available live on League Pass |
| National broadcaster or streaming service | Games assigned to national outlets such as ABC/ESPN, Amazon Prime Video, CBS/Paramount+, NBC/Peacock, or other scheduled distributors | Nationally televised games may be blacked out live on League Pass |
These are routes to watch a game, not interchangeable packages: a local or national broadcast assignment can determine whether League Pass carries that game live. The WNBA’s 2026 national broadcast schedule announcement lists 216 nationally distributed regular-season games for the 2026 season across platforms including ABC/ESPN, Amazon Prime Video, CBS Sports/Paramount+, ION, NBC/Peacock/NBCSN, USA Network, and NBA TV. That schedule figure is for 2026 and does not mean every nationally televised game is live on League Pass.

What happens when a game is blacked out?
United States: national blackouts
The WNBA’s blackout guidance names ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Disney+, CBS, Paramount+, Amazon Prime Video, NBC, Peacock, and USA Network among national distributors that can trigger a live blackout in the United States. The distribution list can change, so check the current schedule for the specific game rather than treating those outlets as a permanent list. A nationally blacked-out game becomes available on League Pass at 6 a.m. ET the following day.
United States: local blackouts
If a game is carried by a local broadcaster or streaming partner in your area, it is not available live on League Pass. The WNBA says local-team coverage is location-sensitive: it uses IP address or device location services, and ZIP code determines US local-team coverage. A locally blacked-out game becomes available as a replay shortly after the game concludes.

Canada
Canada has a different blackout scope: selected nationally televised games are unavailable live on League Pass. The WNBA currently names TSN, SN, CTV, and CTV2 as Canadian national outlets for blacked-out games. Watch those games through the assigned Canadian broadcaster; League Pass replays become available shortly after the game concludes. Confirm the outlet on the current schedule because assignments can change.

Where to watch a game excluded from League Pass live
- Find the game in the current WNBA schedule and note its listed broadcast or streaming outlet.
- Check the League Pass ZIP-code lookup if you are in the United States and need to confirm local coverage for your area.
- Watch through the listed local or national outlet if you have access to it. A League Pass blackout does not identify which services you personally subscribe to, so confirm access with the broadcaster or platform.
- If you do not watch live, check League Pass after the applicable replay window: 6 a.m. ET the next day for nationally blacked-out US games, or shortly after the game for locally blacked-out US games and the selected nationally blacked-out Canadian games.
Devices, purchasing, and Amazon Prime subscriptions
League Pass can be purchased on WNBA.com or through the WNBA app. WNBA-listed playback options include iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Apple TV; desktop viewing is available through the schedule page. Availability may vary by market. The WNBA purchasing help page has current platform information.
In select markets, League Pass can also be purchased through Amazon Prime. That subscription works only in Amazon Prime apps and on Amazon’s website; it cannot be used to sign in to WNBA.com or the WNBA app. The WNBA’s Prime League Pass help page, updated June 9, 2026, lists Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States as purchase markets at that time. Confirm current market availability before buying.

Which option should you choose?
- Choose League Pass for live out-of-market games and replays. Check the game schedule and local coverage lookup first if you need a particular matchup live.
- Use the scheduled local or national broadcaster for a game blacked out live. The schedule identifies that game’s outlet; whether you can watch depends on your access to that service.
- Compare billing and account convenience. The annual League Pass price is listed as $39.99; monthly billing is available, but its current price should be confirmed at checkout. A Prime-purchased subscription stays within Prime’s apps and website.
There is no universal cheapest choice: the League Pass annual price is published, but the cost of local packages, other streaming subscriptions, and services you already have depends on your circumstances.
