You can make an E26 porch light glow like a flickering campfire with the Linkind Smart Light Stick: install it in the socket, connect it through the AiDot app, and choose a flame scene. It also works as a conventional color and tunable-white smart bulb, with output rated up to 850 lumens.
How to create the campfire effect
- Turn off power to the fixture and allow the existing bulb to cool. Remove it.
- Screw the Linkind Smart Light Stick into the fixture’s standard E26 socket, then restore power.
- Pair the bulb in the AiDot app using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Choose a flame scene and adjust flame size, brightness, flicker speed, and motion to suit the setting.
Linkind specifies more than 120 preset scenes. Its automatic upright sensor is intended to orient the flame effect when the fixture is mounted in different directions.
Will it fit, and can it be used outdoors?
The bulb has an E26 base and a T19 cylindrical form. Linkind lists dimensions of approximately 57 × 131 mm, so check the porch fixture’s interior depth and width before buying; it extends farther than a typical A19 bulb. The supplied specifications do not establish an outdoor weather-resistance rating, so use it only in a fixture whose protection and installation conditions are suitable for the location.
Can it light the porch for everyday use?
Yes. Alongside animated effects, the Light Stick can provide ordinary color and tunable-white illumination. Linkind rates it at up to 850 lumens and specifies 16 million colors, 160 LEDs, and 50 independently controllable zones. Those zones support the bulb’s animated effects; the lumen rating is the manufacturer’s maximum, not a guarantee of how bright every color or scene will appear.

What works with Alexa, Apple Home, and other smart-home platforms?
Matter support lets you connect standard lighting controls to Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Samsung SmartThings. The advanced animated flame effects, custom zone controls, and full scene library remain in AiDot, so use that app when you want to select or tune the campfire effect. Linkdhome likewise notes that Matter handles ordinary controls while animated effects require AiDot.
What to check before installing
- Wi-Fi: The bulb requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and does not support 5 GHz.
- Wall dimmers: Do not use it with a wall dimmer switch.
- Apps: It is not compatible with Tuya or Smart Life.
- Fixture fit: Confirm the T19 bulb’s listed dimensions fit inside the sconce, including any cover or shade.
