If you cannot see it, first open the screenshot’s editing view: the preview appears differently in iOS 26 than it did in iOS 18 and earlier. Apple does not document every condition for the option to appear, so there is no confirmed universal cause or fix for its absence.
Where to find Full Page in iPhone Safari
- Take a screenshot. On an iPhone with Face ID, quickly press and release the side button and volume-up button together. On an iPhone with a Home button, quickly press and release the side button and Home button together.
- Open the screenshot editing view. In iOS 18 and earlier, tap the temporary thumbnail in the lower-left corner. In iOS 26, screenshot tools appear in a full-screen preview by default.
- Look for and tap Full Page. Apple’s iPhone guide describes using it to capture content beyond the screen, such as an entire Safari webpage.
- Choose to save the capture as an image in Photos or as a PDF in Files.
Why the option may seem to be missing
The preview interface changed: iOS 18 and earlier show a temporary thumbnail that you tap to edit, while iOS 26 opens screenshot tools in a full-screen view by default. If you are looking for the thumbnail in iOS 26, you may miss the editing controls; if you are on an earlier version, the thumbnail may disappear before you open it.
Apple’s documentation explains how to use Full Page and gives Safari webpages as an example, but it does not specify every condition under which the option appears. The available documentation therefore does not establish a single cause, a particular setting that enables it, or a fix that works in every case. Nor does it establish that the option is available for every page, app, browser, or iOS release.
Does the Full-Screen Previews setting enable Full Page?
No such effect is documented. You can change the preview style at Settings > General > Screen Capture > Full-Screen Previews. Apple describes this as a preference for how the screenshot preview is displayed; it does not say that it enables or disables full-page capture. Changing it may make the preview easier to find, but it is not a confirmed fix for a missing Full Page option.

Save a Safari webpage as a PDF instead
If your main goal is to keep a copy of the webpage and Full Page remains unavailable, try Safari’s separate Share > Markup > Save to Files route. It creates a webpage PDF; it is an alternative way to save the page, not a way to restore the screenshot control or a guaranteed equivalent to a full-page screenshot.
What a reported disappearance does—and does not—show
A September 18, 2025 Apple Support Community post describes one iPhone 14 Pro Max user whose Full Page option disappeared after issues beginning with iOS 18 updates; the author later reported that it had returned. That individual account does not establish a reproducible cause, a confirmed fix, or a widespread iPhone problem.
