YouTube’s published Super Chat eligibility rules do not identify continuous 24/7 streaming as a reason the feature is unavailable. Check two things instead: whether your channel is eligible for Supers, and whether the specific stream meets YouTube’s rules for Super Chat. In particular, Super Chat is unavailable on certain restricted video types and when live chat or comments are turned off.
Check whether the problem affects one stream or your whole channel
This distinction helps narrow down the cause. If the Supers option is missing across your channel, start with channel-level eligibility and restrictions. If it is missing on only one stream, check that stream’s visibility, audience designation, restrictions, fundraiser status, and chat settings. This is a troubleshooting inference from YouTube’s separate channel- and video-level requirements.
Check channel eligibility and Supers access
- Open YouTube Studio and check Earn. Look for the Supers tab or card. YouTube’s monetization requirements include being at least 18 and living in a country or region where Super Chat is available. The channel must also meet the applicable fan-funding requirements.
- Check the relevant terms. Confirm that you have accepted the applicable terms, including the Commerce Product Module, and are following them.
- Review channel status. YouTube requires channel verification for live streaming and says channels must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. If Supers or live features seem unavailable despite meeting the stated requirements, check account and restriction notices in Studio.

Check the individual stream’s settings
YouTube lists the following stream or video conditions as reasons Super Chat and Super Stickers are unavailable:

- It is a YouTube Giving fundraiser.
- Live chat or comments are turned off.
Review the active stream’s visibility, audience setting, restrictions, fundraiser status, and chat controls in YouTube Studio. Compare the current settings on the affected stream with a stream where Supers are available.
Make sure you are checking the active live chat
Super Chat is a paid message highlighted in live chat during a livestream or Premiere. After a stream ends, its replay is a video rather than the active live-chat experience. Does streaming 24/7 disable Super Chat?
YouTube’s published Super Chat eligibility list does not state that running a stream continuously disables the feature. Duration alone is therefore not an established cause. That does not rule out an account-specific restriction or a policy change; check Studio for notices if the listed eligibility and stream settings appear correct.
What to do if the listed checks look right
- Check Studio for account, live-streaming, and stream-specific restriction notices.
- Confirm whether the Supers control is missing channel-wide or only on the affected stream, then focus on the corresponding channel or stream requirements above.
- If the issue remains unclear, use YouTube’s official eligibility and live-streaming help pages to identify the applicable rule for your account and stream.
