Start by checking the print preview, selected paper size, and orientation. If the preview is clipped, look for a fit or scale setting; if the page is blank, compare the same PDF from another app or device and try a different PDF from the phone.
Check the print preview, paper size, and orientation first
Open the PDF, choose the app’s Print command, select the intended printer, and expand the print settings. Samsung says available controls may include paper size, color, and orientation, with other options depending on the printer. Make sure the selected paper size matches the paper loaded and that the page orientation is correct. Samsung’s current US guide shows how to reach print settings, though labels and availability vary by Galaxy model, Android version, and print service: Print from your Galaxy phone or tablet.
Look closely at the preview before sending another copy. If the preview already clips text or images, investigate the document’s page dimensions, paper-size selection, or scaling. If the preview looks complete but the printed sheet is clipped, check the physical paper size and the printer’s printable margins; comparing with another printer, where available, can help isolate the problem.
Fix content that is enlarged or clipped
When the PDF app offers a fit-to-page or scale control, try fitting the page to the printable area. In Adobe Acrobat desktop, Fit scales a page to the printable area, while Actual size prints without scaling and can crop content that does not fit the paper. Those are Acrobat desktop labels, not guaranteed names in a Galaxy phone’s print dialog. Adobe documents the distinction in its PDF page-size and printing guidance.

A mismatch can occur when a PDF was laid out for a different paper size or orientation than the one selected for printing. If the phone’s app does not expose a scaling control, check whether another compatible PDF viewer provides one, or ask the document’s sender for a version laid out for the paper you are using.
Find out whether the blank page comes from the file, app, or print path
A blank sheet alone does not identify the cause. Use one comparison at a time so you can see which part of the path changes the result:

- Print a different PDF from the same phone and app. If it prints normally, the affected file or its contents become more likely areas to investigate.
- Open the affected PDF in another compatible viewer and print it. If the result changes, the original app or its interaction with the print service may be involved.
- Print the same PDF from another device, if available. If it works there, compare the Galaxy app, print service, and printer connection rather than assuming the PDF itself is defective.
These are diagnostic comparisons, not guaranteed fixes. Adobe lists the PDF or viewer and the printer connection or driver among possible PDF-printing problem areas, but its general guidance does not identify the cause for a particular Galaxy phone: Troubleshoot PDF printing issues in Acrobat.
If only one file fails across apps or devices, obtain a fresh authorized copy or ask the sender to recreate it. If multiple PDFs fail only from one app, focus next on that app and the phone’s print service.

Check whether the PDF is protected
Some print apps and services do not support printing encrypted or password-protected PDFs. Samsung’s Print Service Plugin says it does not support encrypted or password-protected PDFs, and Adobe says Acrobat mobile cannot print password-protected PDFs. If the document owner or sender permits printing, request an authorized print-ready copy or use a supported app and route that can open the document with the credentials you have been given. Do not try to defeat encryption or a password restriction.

Verify the Galaxy print service and printer connection
On Samsung’s US guidance, the setup starting point is Settings > Printing. Enable an installed print service, choose a printer, or install the printer-specific plugin if required. Samsung notes that many printers may work with Default Print Service, while some need manual setup. The exact menu and services available can differ by phone and software version.
Connection requirements depend on the service. The Samsung Print Service Plugin FAQ says its plugin requires a Mopria-certified printer, supports connection through the same wireless network or Wi-Fi Direct, and does not support USB printing. Samsung’s broader Galaxy guide describes USB printing with an OTG adapter for supported configurations. These statements describe different service and configuration cases; they do not establish that every Samsung phone either supports or rules out USB printing.

Resolve a printer that is missing or a job that is stuck
If the printer is not found or a job remains queued, confirm that the printer is on and available, then cancel the stuck job from the phone’s print notification or the printer panel. For a printer that is not detected by the Samsung Print Service Plugin, its FAQ recommends clearing the Print Spooler data. Android menu paths vary by version, so find the Print Spooler app in the current app settings on your phone rather than relying on an older version’s exact path.
Spooler troubleshooting is aimed at discovery or stalled jobs; it is not evidence that the spooler caused a PDF to be cropped. For cropping, return to the preview, paper size, orientation, and scaling checks.
