GTA V Story Mode: collect the 27 regular peyote plants
Prerequisites before you start
Plan the Story Mode route as a completion task rather than a quick Easter egg. The cited Bigfoot route requires the following conditions before Golden Peyote plants appear:
- Reach 100% completion in Story Mode.
- Complete the stranger mission The Last One.

A practical collection workflow
- Confirm the mode. Load Story Mode, not GTA Online. The two systems are separate and have different availability rules.
- Check your completion progress. The Golden route is gated by 100% completion and The Last One, so finish those requirements before treating a missing Golden plant as a map error.
- Sort your map route into the three pools. Work through the 15 land plants first if you want the simplest travel, then plan the six bird and six underwater locations as dedicated searches.
- Mark every successful hallucination. A plant you have already consumed should not be counted again. Record the location and pool rather than relying on memory.
- Recheck the checklist after number 27. A single missed underwater or bird plant prevents the complete set from being recognized, even if the land route appears finished.
What the regular plants do
Regular peyote plants trigger animal hallucinations rather than a conventional combat encounter or a standalone Sasquatch mission. The important payoff at this stage is completing the set. Do not mistake an animal hallucination for the later Golden Peyote outcome: regular plants and Golden plants are separate stages.

Finding the special Bigfoot plant

That distinction changes how you prepare. In GTA, completion tracking and day-specific access are central. In Red Dead Redemption or Undead Nightmare, start with the relevant mission or side-quest chain and check whether the creature belongs to the base game or downloadable content.
Fallout Appalachia
Fallout 76‘s Appalachia treats cryptids as part of the regional monster roster. Named examples include Mothman, the Flatwoods Monster, and the Wendigo.
