In the U.S., Amazon’s next announced Prime-member shopping event is Prime Big Deal Days, October 6–7, 2026. It begins at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6 and runs through 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7. Summer Prime Day has already passed: it ran June 23–26. Amazon has not established a date for a later summer Prime Day.
What does “the next Prime Day” mean?
People use “Prime Day” to mean either Amazon’s summer event with that name or any large Prime-exclusive deal event. The distinction matters in October: Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s separate fall event, not a second 2026 summer Prime Day. Amazon announced the summer event for June 23–26, 2026, and the fall event for October 6–7. Amazon’s 2026 Prime Day announcement and fall-event announcement give those schedules.

What time does Prime Big Deal Days start and end?
Amazon says the U.S. event starts at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Tuesday, October 6, and ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Convert those times to your local time zone if you are outside the Pacific time zone. The announced schedule applies to the U.S.; Amazon cautions that dates may vary by country.
#1 Best Overall
- Amazon.com Gift Cards never expire and carry no fees.

- Redeemable towards millions of items store-wide at Amazon.com or certain affiliated websites.

- No returns and no refunds on Gift Cards.
How can you find deals during the event?
Check Amazon’s event pages and app
Amazon recommends its event pages and app for current offers. Its announced “Today’s Big Deals” drops are scheduled for midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT during the event. These offers are limited-time and subject to availability, so a scheduled drop does not guarantee that a particular item will be available.
Set alerts and check price history
Amazon says Alexa for Shopping can set deal alerts. It also describes a Price History feature on product pages that can show up to 365 days of pricing data. Use the available history to compare a current listing with its earlier prices rather than assuming a marked-down price is necessarily the product’s best price.

Verify the listing before buying
Early deals may appear before the event, but a product category or an early offer is not a promise that a particular model will be discounted on October 6 or 7. Amazon’s early-deals announcement, for example, identifies Kindle among the categories with offers without establishing a discount for any specific Kindle model. Confirm the model, seller, price, and availability on the product page before placing an order.
Do you need Prime membership?
Yes. Amazon describes Prime Big Deal Days as exclusive to Prime members. In its September 2026 announcement, Amazon listed U.S. membership at $14.99 per month or $139 per year and said eligible customers could start a free 30-day trial. It also described discounted options for eligible young adults and students, and qualifying government-assistance recipients. Because membership terms can change and eligibility varies, check Amazon’s current event announcement and membership information before signing up.

Are the dates the same outside the U.S.?
Not necessarily. Amazon says Prime Big Deal Days takes place in participating countries but that dates may differ from the U.S. schedule. Check your regional Amazon site for the local event dates, start time, membership requirements, and available offers; do not assume October 6–7 applies everywhere.

No date for a Prime Day event after the June 2026 event is established in Amazon’s cited announcements. The confirmed next U.S. event as of October 3, 2026, is the October Prime Big Deal Days event—not a future summer Prime Day. Avoid treating a past schedule or usual seasonal pattern as an announced date.
