As of October 4, 2026, Rockstar has not announced a PC edition of Grand Theft Auto VI or published GTA 6 PC system requirements. Its official pages list PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That means no particular PC, processor, graphics card, memory amount, or storage device can currently be called required or confirmed suitable for GTA 6. If your main reason for buying a PC is this game, wait for Rockstar to announce PC availability and requirements.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar’s official GTA VI product and support pages identify PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, not PC. The support article, last updated August 18, 2026, describes pre-orders for those consoles. The product page gives November 19, 2026 as the release date; that is the date Rockstar lists for the game, not a PC release date. See Rockstar’s GTA VI product page and its platforms, editions, and versions article.
Rockstar’s official coverage includes Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look and Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look — Now Playing. Neither cited announcement supplies PC hardware requirements. Plans and platform information can change, so check Rockstar’s official pages for an announcement before making a purchase based on GTA VI.
What are the PC requirements for GTA 6?
There are no official GTA 6 PC requirements in the Rockstar materials cited above because those materials do not announce a PC version. GPU, CPU, RAM, storage, resolution, and target frame rate requirements for PC are all unconfirmed. As a result, a recommended “GTA 6-ready” PC build would be speculation, not a reliable buying guide.

Be wary of lists that present predicted components as confirmed requirements, or treat leaked claims and the requirements for another game as proof. Wait for Rockstar to publish PC-specific information before choosing hardware specifically for GTA VI.
Can GTA V PC requirements help you choose a GTA 6 computer?
No. Rockstar’s requirements page is for Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, a different game. It was last updated December 10, 2025, and its figures are not authoritative guidance for GTA VI. The distinction matters even though both games share the Grand Theft Auto name.

If GTA 6 is the main reason
Wait for Rockstar to announce a PC version and publish requirements. Without that information, paying extra for a specific GPU, CPU, RAM configuration, or SSD on the promise that it will run GTA VI carries no official compatibility assurance.

If you need a PC for other games or work
Choose a computer around the software you can verify today: check each game’s published requirements, decide what resolution and performance you want, and set a budget. Treat GTA VI compatibility as unknown rather than a deciding specification. Once Rockstar provides PC details, compare your system against those requirements before upgrading.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the announced physical version mean there is a PC disc?
No. Rockstar describes the physical version as a download code in a box without a disc for the officially listed console platforms. That description is not evidence of a PC copy or PC release. The platform and edition details are in Rockstar Support’s GTA VI platforms, editions, and versions article.
