The Aston Martin Valhalla is a real, limited-production plug-in hybrid supercar, and it is confirmed to feature in 007 First Light. The announcement confirms its inclusion in the game, but does not say whether players can drive it or explain its role in the story.
What is the Aston Martin Valhalla?
Aston Martin describes the Valhalla as its first series-production mid-engined supercar and its first plug-in hybrid. It is a road car developed for production, not a Bond vehicle designed only for the game. In December 2024, the company announced a planned production limit of 999 cars.
The Valhalla pairs a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors. Aston Martin says the V8 produces 828PS and the motors add 251PS, for a combined output of 1079PS and 1100Nm of torque. The V8 drives the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while two electric motors drive the front axle. This layout enables torque vectoring across the front wheels and an electric-only driving mode. Aston Martin’s December 2024 technical announcement also describes the car’s carbon-fibre tub and active aerodynamic systems, including DRS and an air-brake function.
What performance does Aston Martin claim?
Aston Martin’s published figures are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured test results. The company claims 0–100km/h (62mph) in 2.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 350km/h (217mph). It also says the active aerodynamics can generate more than 600kg of downforce between 240km/h and 350km/h, adjusting the wing angles as speed increases.

How does the Valhalla fit into 007 First Light?
On November 20, 2025, IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios announced that the Valhalla features in 007 First Light, a standalone, reimagined origin story for James Bond. Their announcement establishes that the car is part of the game’s Bond world, but does not identify a particular scene or plot function.
That distinction matters: “features in” does not confirm that Bond drives the Valhalla, that it is playable, or that it appears in a particular mission. The announcement does not provide those details, so the car’s exact gameplay and story role should be treated as unconfirmed.

What has been announced about the game’s release?
In its November 2025 announcement, IO Interactive scheduled 007 First Light for May 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. It said preorders were then available, including through Amazon.com, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Those are details of the announcement at that date; the announcement alone does not establish current release status, platform availability, or retailer stock.

Aston Martin’s December 2024 specification announcement said production was due to start in Q2 2025. In a March 31, 2025 validation update, the company said the car was in final validation sign-off ahead of that planned start and repeated its power and performance figures. These statements document the manufacturer’s plans at the time; they do not by themselves confirm whether production or customer deliveries subsequently took place as scheduled.
