There is no objectively established all-time winner—and no vote totals to report here. The best Google Pixel depends on what you value most: camera versatility, price, battery life, long-term updates, size, or software features. Cast your vote for the Pixel you consider the best, and tell us what makes it stand out.
How to choose your all-time favorite Pixel
Use the criteria below to decide what “best” means to you. A newer feature or a major design change can make a generation notable without making it the best choice for every Pixel fan.
- Camera: Consider image quality, low-light performance, ultrawide and telephoto options, and computational features. Google says the standard Pixel 10 added a dedicated 5x telephoto lens, while Pixel 10 Pro models offer Pro Res Zoom up to 100x. Those are manufacturer-stated features, not a comparative camera test. Google’s Pixel 10 announcement
- Value: Compare the launch or used price with the features you actually use. Google announced the Pixel 9a at a US starting price of $499 in March 2025; that is a historical launch price, not a current price. Google’s Pixel 9a announcement
- Battery: Think about everyday endurance, while distinguishing estimates from independent tests. Google estimated more than 30 hours of Pixel 9a battery life under its stated conditions, or up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver. These are Google’s estimates, not independently measured comparisons across Pixel generations. Google’s Pixel 9a announcement
- Support lifespan: A phone’s remaining software-support period may matter more than its launch features. Google’s policy gives Pixel 8 and later seven years of OS and security updates from the device’s first US Google Store availability. Listed Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 cohorts receive five years; Pixel 5a and earlier no longer receive Android version and security updates. Check the current Pixel software-update policy for the applicable cohort.
- Size and form factor: Compact phones, larger XL models, and foldables suit different hands and habits. Google’s availability listings show these as distinct options. Google Store’s Pixel comparison page
- Software and AI: Some voters may prefer the experience they know; others may prioritize newer AI capabilities. Google says Gemini came built in with the Pixel 9 series, while Pixel 10 introduced Tensor G5 and Gemini Nano. Google’s Pixel 10 announcement
If the poll lets you add a comment, name the criterion behind your vote. “Best camera,” “best value,” and “best Pixel for me” can point to different generations.
Why different Pixel generations have a case
Pixel and Pixel XL: where the line began
Google says it debuted Pixel and Pixel XL on October 4, 2016. Their place at the start of the line makes them natural choices for readers who value the original Pixel experience, though being first does not by itself settle an all-time ranking. Google’s Pixel retrospective
#1 Best Overall
- Attention-grabbing design meets the latest evolution of the Google Pixel Camera on the new Google Pixel 11 Pro; Gemini Intelligence helps manage details so you can live in the moment[1]; and the phone is available in two sizes
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan: Works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers[2]
- Stay informed without looking at your screen: When your phone is face down, Pixel HiLight gently alerts you with subtle glowing lights when your favorite contacts are calling or you’re talking with Gemini; exclusive to Google Pixel 11 Pro phones
- Magic Capture catches the moment as you live it: With just one tap, Pixel 11 Pro captures video and photos, and automatically edits, crops, and unblurs a curated collection, ready to share – and you get the memory of how it felt to be in the moment
- Two new cameras for more brilliant photos: A larger telephoto sensor captures 30% more light for clear, beautiful photos and videos, even in the dark[3]; Pixel’s longest zoom ever helps you capture details from impressive distances[4]
Pixel 6: a design and product-tier shift
Google describes Pixel 6 as a turning point: it introduced the camera-bar design and the first Pro phone. That makes the generation a meaningful milestone for voters who value a change in Pixel design or the arrival of a higher-tier model. It is a reason to consider Pixel 6, not proof that it is the best. Google’s Pixel retrospective
Pixel 9 and Pixel 10: newer features and support commitments
Google identifies the Pixel 9 series as its first phones with Gemini built in. In 2025, it described Pixel 10 as the tenth generation and announced Tensor G5, built-in Qi2/Pixelsnap, and a 5x telephoto lens on the standard Pixel 10. The Pixel 10 Pro models were announced with Pro Res Zoom up to 100x. These features may matter to voters seeking newer capabilities, but the announcements do not establish an all-time winner. What current rankings can—and cannot—tell you
As of October 3, 2026, TechRadar’s roundup names Pixel 10 Pro its best overall Pixel in the lineup it covers, Pixel 10 Pro XL its camera pick, and Pixel 10a its affordability pick. Those are that publication’s editorial judgments about its reviewed selection, not results from an all-time reader poll. TechRadar’s Pixel phone roundup
Google’s US availability table lists Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold as available from August 2026. Being the newest listed generation does not establish that it is better than earlier Pixels for every voter. Google’s Pixel availability table
Vote for the Pixel that best fits your definition
Choose the model you would most want to own or remember most fondly, then add a brief reason if comments are available. A useful vote makes its yardstick clear: camera, value, battery, support, form factor, software, or a personal preference. The poll question is about your all-time favorite; deciding which Pixel to buy today is a separate question that depends on current availability, price, condition, and support needs.
