In 007 First Light New Game Plus, unlocked outfits are available to wear and change through the journal, while gadgets remain tied to the campaign’s story order. You can swap unlocked gadgets during a mission, but NG+ does not give Bond every gadget from the start. The mode unlocks after you finish the campaign on any difficulty.
What carries over in New Game Plus?

How do you unlock New Game Plus?
Complete the full campaign on any difficulty. After completion, you can replay from the campaign start or choose a checkpoint you have already completed. The unlock requirement and replay options are confirmed in IO Interactive’s October 1, 2026 announcement.
How do outfits and gadgets work during the replay?
Change outfits through the journal
Outfits unlocked before the replay are available in NG+. Open the journal during the run to select a different outfit, then restart from a chosen checkpoint to see the selected look. The patch notes call this feature Mission Wardrobe.
Swap only story-unlocked gadgets
Gadget on Demand lets you change gadgets during a mission rather than waiting for another chapter. However, the selection is limited to gadgets the story has unlocked by that point. As IO Interactive’s Update 1.3.0 patch notes put it, “Only gadgets that have been unlocked at that specific point in the story can be used, so Q’s inventions still reach you in the order the campaign introduces them.”

Do you have to play NG+ on 00 difficulty?
No. Completing the campaign unlocks 00 difficulty, but you can use NG+ outfit and gadget customization on Easy, Normal, or Hard as well as 00. IO Interactive confirms this option in its October 1, 2026 announcement.
Choose 00 if you want a tougher replay: the publisher describes faster enemy reactions, stronger guard variants, limits on gadget use when guards can see Bond, kills in two hits, tighter parry and side-step timing, and less agency gained in fights. These challenge changes are separate from the customization features, so you can use the latter without choosing 00.

What is not confirmed to carry over?
IO Interactive’s published NG+ descriptions do not provide a complete carryover or reset list for collectibles, campaign challenges, TacSim progress, Intel, or other progression categories. Their status is therefore not established by these descriptions; do not assume that they all persist or all reset.
