2. Paste the complete URL
Include https:// when possible and use the exact path, query string, and fragment behavior required by the page. Public pages are the normal input. A login wall, basic-auth prompt, intranet hostname, robots or bot challenge can prevent a useful result.
3. Pick viewport or full-page capture
- Viewport capture: records the browser area at the selected width and height. Use it for a hero section, responsive comparison, or social preview.
- Full-page capture: attempts to include the scrollable document below the fold. It is the right choice for a complete landing page or audit, but very long or highly dynamic pages can require extra loading and composition.

Full-page screenshots: what can go wrong
A full-page image is assembled from a page that may change while it is being captured. Infinite scroll, carousels, sticky navigation, consent dialogs, ads, and lazy images can produce seams, repeated headers, blank areas, or missing content. Troubleshooting common failures
The result is blank
Cause: the page timed out, blocked the renderer, failed its JavaScript boot, or returned an empty response. Try the URL in a normal browser, increase the wait, and check the provider’s verdict or error headers. For an API, confirm DNS, TLS, and authorization.

Private pages cannot be reached
