Use Season Spark for scheduling and finer control
Enable Halloween elements individually

Limit front-end loading
The listing says Season Spark enqueues only scripts for enabled effects. Disable unused effects rather than leaving every seasonal module active. This selective loading is a design claim from the plugin documentation, not an independent performance measurement.
Use Weather Effect when Halloween is one of several seasons

Insert the script

Nothing appears
Confirm the plugin is activated, the effect toggle is enabled, the selected page is included, and any schedule is currently within its start and end dates. Clear page and browser caches, then check whether a theme or optimization plugin is delaying or removing the script.
The page becomes distracting or slow

Animations overlap menus or text
Reduce density, change the effect’s position or limit it to a less critical page. Remove custom cursors if they obscure pointer location or focus states.
The effect remains after Halloween
Turn off the plugin setting, remove the body class or script insertion, and purge caches. If a scheduled mode was used, verify the site timezone and the configured end date.
