If Unbroken Flameruff Spirits are not appearing in Aniimo, the usual cause is the target or the finishing action. Complete Journey: Warrior, visit Beast Fang Ridge during the daytime, find the titled elite Flameruff the Mighty (also listed as Flameruff: Elite), and defeat it rather than capture it. Ordinary Flameruffs do not drop the spirit, and the elite’s drop is chance-based.
You need six spirits and one Night Stone to evolve the eligible regular/basic orange Flameruff into Inferlupa. A Flux Crystal can replace the Night Stone, but it cannot replace any of the six spirits.
Fastest fix for missing Unbroken Flameruff Spirits
- Check that the Flameruff shown on the evolution screen is the regular/basic orange form.
- Finish Journey: Warrior so the Inferlupa evolution branch is unlocked.
- Set the world to daytime.
- Travel to Beast Fang Ridge, east of Alpha Scorchhowl’s territory, and search the withered-forest area. Some item text calls the wider area Thousand-Fang Ridge.
- Look for the name Flameruff the Mighty or Flameruff: Elite.
- Defeat the elite. Do not use the capture action.
- Check your inventory. If no spirit appears, leave the area, teleport to the Outpost, return, and fight the elite again.
- Repeat the encounter until you have six spirits, then use them with a Night Stone (or a Flux Crystal as the stone substitute) on the eligible Flameruff’s evolution screen.
The encounter does not have a published guaranteed drop rate. A successful defeat can therefore produce no spirit, even when every other condition is correct.

The branch has several independent requirements. Meeting one does not satisfy the others, which is why completing the quest or obtaining a replacement stone alone will not finish the evolution.

Why a Flameruff fight can produce nothing
You captured the elite instead of defeating it
The elite’s spirit reward is tied to defeating the encounter. Capturing Flameruff the Mighty gives no Unbroken Flameruff Spirit for this purpose. If you want the material, use a combat finish and verify the post-fight loot before leaving.
You fought an ordinary Flameruff
Regular wild Flameruffs without the Mighty or Elite designation do not drop this material. The nameplate is the important check: the target must read Flameruff the Mighty or Flameruff: Elite, not merely Flameruff.
The encounter was attempted at the wrong time
Practical farming guides place the eligible elite encounter in the daytime. If you are searching at night, change the world to daytime before deciding that the spawn or loot table is broken.

The drop simply failed its chance roll
The spirit is not documented as a guaranteed reward. No verified exact percentage has been published, so one or more empty victories are possible. A failed drop does not prove that the quest, location, or character is permanently bugged; repeat the encounter under the same conditions.
The Warrior quest is unfinished
Journey: Warrior gates this evolution branch. The quest is an unlock condition, not a six-item reward bundle. After finishing it, you still have to farm the elite and collect the materials individually.
The Flameruff is the wrong form
The documented input is the regular/basic orange Flameruff. Highland and Mountainwoods variants, Scorchhowl, and other regional or later forms are not listed as valid inputs for this Inferlupa branch. Confirm the form on the evolution screen rather than relying on the creature’s general name.

Where to find Flameruff the Mighty
Use Beast Fang Ridge in daytime
Start at Beast Fang Ridge and search the withered-forest area east of Alpha Scorchhowl’s territory. The broader region may be labeled Thousand-Fang Ridge in item or location text, so the two names can refer to the same general hunting area rather than two separate farming destinations.

Do not stop at the first Flameruff you see. Ordinary creatures in the area are not the required target. Read the full nameplate and continue looking until the encounter is explicitly marked Flameruff the Mighty or Flameruff: Elite.
Refresh the encounter after a failed attempt
A commonly reported farming loop is to teleport to the Outpost after the fight and then return to Beast Fang Ridge. Players report that this can make Flameruff the Mighty available again. Treat the method as a practical guide-reported refresh, not as a guaranteed technical respawn rule: the game does not publish a fixed timer or a guaranteed reset condition for this elite.

Record the current spirit count so a new drop is easy to recognize.
- Unlock the branch: verify that Journey: Warrior is complete. If the branch is absent from the menu, return to the quest log before farming.
- Set daytime: change the world to daytime before traveling. The guides that document this elite route specify daytime conditions.
- Travel to the ridge: go to Beast Fang Ridge, using the east side of Alpha Scorchhowl’s territory and the withered forest as landmarks.
- Identify the correct target: read the complete name. Only Flameruff the Mighty or Flameruff: Elite qualifies for the spirit drop.
- Defeat, do not capture: finish the battle through combat. A capture outcome does not award the spirit.
- Check the inventory: look for an Unbroken Flameruff Spirit before starting another search. The drop can fail, so do not assume every victory added one.
- Refresh: if the elite is gone or no material was awarded, teleport to the Outpost and return to the ridge to try the encounter again.
- Stop at six: once six spirits are present, use the evolution screen with a Night Stone or the permitted Flux Crystal substitute.
Night Stone versus Flux Crystal
The two items do not fill the same role. The Night Stone is the normal catalyst, while the Flux Crystal is an alternative catalyst. Neither item replaces the spirit component.

If the menu accepts a Flux Crystal but still reports missing spirits, that is expected: the crystal has solved only the catalyst requirement.
How to verify the correct Flameruff before farming
Form confusion is one of the most expensive mistakes because it can make a successful farming session appear useless. Use the evolution interface as the authority:
- Open the evolution screen for the Flameruff you intend to evolve.
- Confirm that the displayed form is the regular/basic orange Flameruff.
- Check that the Inferlupa branch is visible after Journey: Warrior is complete.
- Do not assume that a creature with “Flameruff” in its name qualifies; regional labels and later forms matter.
- Only begin a six-spirit farming run after the menu identifies the companion as an eligible input.
Regional variants such as Highland and Mountainwoods, plus Scorchhowl and other later forms, are documented outside this branch. Their appearance in the same general family does not make them interchangeable.

Troubleshooting by symptom
No elite appears
- Confirm the world is daytime.
- Search the withered-forest portion of Beast Fang Ridge rather than stopping at ordinary Flameruff spawns.
- Use the Outpost teleport-and-return refresh reported by farming guides.
- Check that Journey: Warrior is complete if the branch or encounter is not available.
The target appears, but there is no spirit after the fight
- Verify that the name included Mighty or Elite.
- Confirm that the result was a defeat, not a capture.
- Check the inventory directly; the drop is chance-based.
- Repeat the refreshed encounter instead of switching to ordinary Flameruffs.
The evolution screen still rejects the companion
- Confirm the companion is the regular/basic orange Flameruff.
- Check that the Warrior branch is unlocked.
- Make sure the inventory has six spirits.
- Provide a Night Stone, or use a Flux Crystal only in the catalyst slot if the interface permits it.
The menu accepts the stone substitute but still asks for spirits
This is normal. A Flux Crystal addresses only the Night Stone requirement. Continue farming the titled elite until the spirit count reaches six.
When to stop farming and investigate a possible bug
Do not treat a single failed drop as a technical fault because the published data does not give a guaranteed rate. First audit the nameplate, action, time of day, quest state, and Flameruff form. If repeated, correctly executed daytime defeats continue to produce no material, record the game version, location, target name, defeat result, and inventory count before reporting the issue through the game’s support channels. Those details distinguish a normal chance failure from a reproducible encounter problem without assuming that an undocumented drop percentage exists.
