Twilio (NYSE: TWLO) is scheduled to join the S&P 500 before trading opens on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, replacing Warner Bros. Discovery (NASDAQ: WBD). S&P Dow Jones Indices announced the change on October 1, 2026.

The change is scheduled to take effect before the market opens on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The announcement comes from S&P Dow Jones Indices, which published the notice on October 1.

All three changes are scheduled to take effect before trading opens that day. In the release, Twilio is classified in Information Technology and Warner Bros. Discovery in Communication Services.

What does the announcement say about Twilio’s stock?

It announces an index-membership change, not a stock-price forecast. The notice does not quantify an expected or observed effect on Twilio’s share price, trading volume, or investor returns.
