Transit is a first-person, single-player narrative adventure from Copenhagen-based Fable Systems. A new trailer featured in the 28 Games Later Horror Showcase spotlights its looping metro setting, a search for a missing sister, and Mr. Sock, a sarcastic hand-animated puppet. The game is planned for Steam on Windows and macOS, but Fable has not announced a release date.
What is Transit?
Set in 1994, Transit follows a search for a missing sister through dark metro lines and shifting timelines. Fable Systems describes it as a story-first adventure built around exploration, listening, and choices with consequences—not combat or score-chasing. The developer estimates a playthrough takes around six hours; it does not specify when or how that estimate was measured.
Routes and stations repeat in altered time states, while conversations and outcomes can change. The story also asks the player to help souls confront their pasts and investigates Quantum’s experiments with memory, time, and the boundary between life and death. Insider Gaming characterizes the atmosphere as Nordic noir blended with folklore, analogue nostalgia, and dream logic; those are descriptions of the game’s intended tone, not review findings. Insider Gaming’s trailer report and Fable Systems’ official game page provide the available details.
What does the trailer show?
The trailer frames the metro as an unstable place where familiar routes can return in different temporal states. Mr. Sock, a hand-animated and sarcastic sock puppet, serves as a companion and guide through the mystery. Together, the repeating stations, changing conversations, and puppet’s dark humor suggest an adventure driven by atmosphere and narrative choices rather than action sequences.
