The TP-Link Deco BE63 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system with four 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports per unit. Wccftech reported Amazon US prices starting at $199.98 for a one-pack on October 2, 2026, but the offer was described as time-limited and has not been independently verified as live. Check the current listing before buying.
What the Deco BE63 offers
TP-Link also markets the BE63 as the Deco 7 Pro BE10000 Whole Home Mesh WiFi 7 System. Each unit uses 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. TP-Link specifies radio signal rates of 574 Mbps, 4,324 Mbps and 5,188 Mbps on those bands, respectively. These are theoretical band rates, not a promise of internet speed to one device or a measured real-world throughput result. TP-Link’s product page and datasheet describe the specifications.
Wi-Fi 7 features include Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM. To benefit, client devices must support the relevant feature. TP-Link says 320 MHz bandwidth is available only on 6 GHz, and regulatory restrictions mean channel availability varies by region. The datasheet also cautions that the product may not support every mandatory feature in the finalized 802.11be specification and that some features may require software upgrades.
Wired connections and modes
Every BE63 unit has four auto-sensing 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN Ethernet ports and a USB port. Any Ethernet port can be assigned as WAN or LAN, but only one port can be WAN at a time. Reaching 2.5 Gbps requires compatible internet service and equipment. The system supports router and access point modes, plus optional Ethernet backhaul between mesh units. Wired backhaul can be useful when suitable cabling is available; it does not change the need to place nodes where they can serve the areas you want covered.

Choosing one, two or three units
Choose pack size around the floor plan, not just the advertised coverage number. TP-Link claims up to 5,800 sq. ft. for the two-pack and support for up to 200 devices; these are manufacturer figures, not independent test results or guarantees. Walls, building materials, node and client placement, traffic, ISP conditions and device limitations can all affect coverage and throughput. The cited product materials do not establish independently tested coverage for each pack size.
- One-pack: Consider it if one unit is sufficient for the area you need to cover, or if you are extending an existing Deco mesh. Plan to check coverage in the rooms that matter rather than assuming a particular range.
- Two-pack: A potential fit when one location cannot serve the whole home well. Position the second unit where it can link reliably to the first while reaching the area that needs coverage.
- Three-pack: Consider additional nodes for a larger or more segmented layout, but more units are not automatically better; placement and the link between nodes still matter. The cited sources do not provide a tested pack-to-pack coverage comparison.
TP-Link says Deco devices work together to form one mesh network. That broad compatibility statement does not establish that every feature is identical across models. For a specific mixed-model or hardware-version question, consult the regional support information.

Will Wi-Fi 7 or multi-gig speeds matter in your home?
The BE63 is most compelling if your broadband plan, wired equipment and client devices can use its faster connections or Wi-Fi 7 capabilities. Its 2.5 Gbps ports do not make an internet plan faster than the service you buy, and a client that lacks support for a particular Wi-Fi 7 feature cannot use that feature. If your devices and internet connection are substantially slower, the BE63’s headline radio rates may not translate into a noticeable improvement for everyday use.
Mesh is intended to extend wireless coverage across multiple locations, but it cannot guarantee that every dead zone disappears. Building materials, node placement and whether nodes connect wirelessly or through Ethernet all affect the result. If you can run Ethernet between nodes, the BE63 supports optional wired backhaul.

Security, subscriptions and support details
The BE63 includes TP-Link HomeShield security and parental-control features. TP-Link says advanced HomeShield features require a paid subscription; check its current regional terms for which functions are included and any subscription price rather than assuming every feature is free.
TP-Link’s US support page lists hardware versions V1.60, V2.60 and V3.60. For V3.6, it lists firmware 1.0.7, build 26050612, published August 14, 2026, with stability and security improvements and a NAT Loopback fix. This release information applies to that listed version and should not be read as a guarantee that every BE63 unit has the same hardware or firmware. TP-Link notes that availability varies by region. Check TP-Link’s US support page for the relevant version.

Is the Deco BE63 worth considering?
It is a sensible candidate for a household seeking Wi-Fi 7 mesh, 2.5 Gbps wired ports and multi-gig or Wi-Fi 7-capable devices. The reported $199.98 one-pack price is a dated Amazon US offer, not a confirmed current price. Decide on pack size from your layout and connection options, then confirm the live listing and make sure your broadband and devices can use the capabilities you are paying for.
