The notice, quoted by iXBT Games on 3 October, gives no ticket count or estimate of the delay. It signals a busier support queue—not a quantified service failure.
What CDPR said about support after the Remastered launch
In a notice reproduced by iXBT Games on 3 October 2026, CD PROJEKT RED technical support said: “Since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, our technical support service has been receiving more requests than usual, so a response may take a little longer. Please note: even if you have not yet received a response, the problem you reported is most likely already known – it is being analyzed and taken into account when preparing patches. Thank you for your patience!”
The statement is qualitative: it does not say how many requests arrived, how many players are affected, or how long a reply will take. iXBT reproduced the support notice; the underlying social post was not independently available in the reporting reviewed here. The word “overwhelmed” therefore goes beyond what the quoted notice establishes.
Which release this concerns
This is the 2026 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, not the 2022 next-generation Complete Edition. CD PROJEKT RED dated the Remastered release to 29 September 2026 and described it as a free upgrade for eligible owners on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and for Nintendo Switch 2 players who own the original Switch version. The publisher also lists Battle.net and Microsoft Store as purchase options. See the official launch announcement for platform and upgrade details.

The publisher describes the Remastered edition as bringing changes to visuals and performance, combat and skill systems, animations, mod support, the user interface and platform-specific features. Those are publisher-listed changes, not independent performance test results.
The 2022 Complete Edition was a separate release, also offered as a free upgrade to eligible existing owners; a physical edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X followed. A December 2022 PC hotfix notice for that earlier version addressed stability, performance and GOG and Steam overlays. Neither the 2022 release nor its hotfix establishes the status of the 2026 support queue.

What problems are being reported—and what remains uncertain
Coverage by Windows Central and GamesRadar+ on 1 October 2026 described reports involving save issues, missing DLSS in the Xbox Play Anywhere PC version, lighting problems and PC performance concerns, alongside fixes or hotfixes. These are reports about different symptoms and contexts, not evidence that every player or platform has the same problem.
Issue status can change with a patch and can differ by platform, storefront, game version, and—for PC—hardware and settings. The available reporting does not establish an issue rate by platform, a controlled comparison of fixes, or a universal remedy. Check the current support listings rather than assuming that a report about one storefront or configuration applies to yours.

How to get help for your specific issue
- Record the details: note your platform and storefront, the exact symptom, your game version or patch, and what you were doing when the issue occurred. For PC performance problems, include your hardware, resolution and graphics settings.
- Open CD PROJEKT RED’s The Witcher 3 PC support portal: use the technical, gameplay or content category that matches the problem, and check the Remastered FAQ, Patch 5.0 and listed hot issues. If you play on another platform, choose the support entry for that platform rather than treating PC guidance as universal.
- Check for a relevant patch or known issue: compare the listing with your version and symptom. The support notice says reported problems are being analyzed and considered when preparing patches; it does not promise that a particular issue has already been fixed or give a release date.
- Submit a report if the guidance does not address it: describe the symptom and reproduction steps, and identify the platform, storefront and version. For a PC issue, include the configuration and settings needed to understand the case.
What PC requirements can—and cannot—tell you
CD PROJEKT RED’s updated PC requirements article says performance depends on system configuration, graphics settings and resolution, and that an SSD is required for the newest enhancements. Use the published requirements to check whether your setup and settings are appropriate; they are not a promise that a game bug will disappear after a hardware upgrade.
The same guidance says Windows 10 will no longer be officially supported or tested going forward. It also clarifies that this does not necessarily mean the game will stop running on Windows 10 with the next update. That is a support and testing qualification, not a confirmed compatibility cutoff.
