If you need a prerecorded video to repeat continuously on YouTube Live, do not assume Streamlabs Talk Studio or a scheduled-broadcast studio will loop it: Streamlabs documents prerecorded scheduling, but its reviewed help does not establish repeat playback or unattended 24/7 operation. For a verified one-time scheduled broadcast, StreamYard documents a workflow that starts automatically and ends when the video finishes. For a continuous YouTube stream, StreamNeo is a cloud option built for looping uploaded videos; YouTube also lists Gyre and Upstream as 24/7 cloud-streaming services, though its directory does not confirm their specific repeat controls or limits.

Choose by the kind of prerecorded stream you need

“Prerecorded streaming” can mean a single scheduled broadcast or an ongoing loop. Those are different jobs: a video that starts automatically at a chosen time and stops at its end is not a continuous 24/7 stream.

Need Best-fit route What the available documentation establishes
Play one prerecorded video at a scheduled time StreamYard Its help documents automatic start at the scheduled time and an end when the video finishes.
Run a YouTube stream continuously from uploaded videos StreamNeo It loops uploaded videos from the cloud; the computer does not need to stay on.
Produce a stream with scenes, local sources, or advanced audio/video control Desktop encoder such as OBS YouTube describes encoder streaming for screen sharing, external audio/video equipment, and multi-camera or microphone productions. Local operation depends on the computer and connection running the encoder.
Host guests or use a browser production studio Talk Studio or StreamYard Both are documented as browser-studio options. Check the specific service for the production features and playback behavior you need.

YouTube’s encoder directory also lists Restream, Gyre, and Upstream. The directory identifies categories and use cases; it is not confirmation of any particular provider’s repeat controls, limits, uptime, or current prices.

What Talk Studio does—and what is not established

Streamlabs describes Talk Studio as a browser-based studio with destinations, scheduling, recording, and live-stream controls. Its feature table mentions videos used as intros or outros. A Streamlabs tutorial last updated April 25, 2025 describes scheduling a prerecorded video: choose destinations, select prerecorded video, upload the file, and set the title, date, and time. That establishes a documented scheduling workflow, not an endlessly repeating stream.

2. StreamYard for a finite scheduled broadcast

StreamYard’s help documents a prerecorded broadcast that can start automatically at a selected time, including when the creator is offline. Its help center states: “The livestream will automatically start at the specified time, and end once the video is finished.” That is useful for a scheduled one-time video, but it does not establish repeat playback or an endless loop.

StreamYard’s help page lists MP4 with H.264 encoding, up to 1080p on paid plans, and a 10 Mbps bitrate ceiling. It lists video duration limits of two hours on Core, four hours on Advanced, and eight hours on Teams and Business; upload limits are 10 GB on Core and Advanced and 25 GB on Teams and Business. These are vendor-published plan specifications and may change, so verify them against current plan details before subscribing.

3. OBS for local encoding and production control

YouTube lists OBS as open-source recording and streaming software available at no charge. An encoder is appropriate when you want control over a local production, such as combining screen capture, external audio/video gear, multiple cameras, or microphones. YouTube’s encoder guidance explains that workflow, but the cited directory does not verify an OBS-specific infinite-repeat configuration. For a continuous stream, check the encoder’s current documentation and plan how you will keep the computer, software, and network operating and monitored.

4. Restream, Gyre, and Upstream as directory-listed options

YouTube lists Restream as a live-streaming studio with multistreaming, guests, overlays, and video playback. It lists Gyre and Upstream as cloud options for 24/7 prerecorded or live-video streaming. These descriptions can help narrow the search, but they do not establish the exact loop controls, file and duration limits, supported output quality, monitoring, recovery behavior, or prices. Verify those requirements directly with each provider before committing to a continuous broadcast.

Compare candidates against your actual requirements

Before moving a channel or building a workflow around a tool, get clear answers to these questions:

  • Playback: Does the video play once, repeat, or continue as a playlist? Is the repeat behavior documented?
  • Unattended operation: Can the stream start and run without you present? How do you monitor it, and what happens if the connection or YouTube stream drops?
  • Where encoding runs: Does it rely on a computer and local internet connection, or does a cloud service run the stream?
  • Media limits: Check supported file formats, maximum upload size and duration, and output resolution against your actual recordings.
  • Production needs: Decide whether you need guests, studio layouts, overlays, live interaction, or simply repeat playback.
  • Destinations: Confirm whether one YouTube channel is enough or whether you need multiple destinations. Do not infer multistreaming support from a tool’s category alone.
  • Commercial terms: Verify current prices and plan limits on the provider’s own site; directory listings do not establish them.

Or let it run in the cloud

For a continuous prerecorded YouTube stream, StreamNeo’s workflow is three steps:

  1. Upload your recording or build a playlist.
  2. Add your YouTube stream key once.
  3. Go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded videos from the cloud.

Nothing has to stay on at home. Your uploads stream at the quality you made them, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; automatic recovery is included if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are supported in India; card checkout is available worldwide. Estimate upload time, compare cloud and PC costs, and review the copyright safety checklist. Start your free first day on StreamNeo.

Set up YouTube Live responsibly

Whichever tool you choose, it sends the stream to YouTube; it does not grant rights to the uploaded material or guarantee that YouTube will keep the broadcast available. Use video, music, and other material you own or are licensed to stream, and check YouTube’s current live-stream rules and copyright requirements before starting. A continuous loop should have a clear purpose and comply with YouTube’s policies; do not assume that permission to upload a file also grants permission to rebroadcast it indefinitely.

For an encoder workflow, YouTube’s encoder help is the relevant starting point for connecting software and configuring a live broadcast. Browser studios and cloud services have their own input, scheduling, and stream-key steps, so follow the selected provider’s current setup instructions rather than assuming that settings transfer unchanged between tools.

Common decision mistakes

  • Equating scheduling with looping: A scheduled broadcast can start while you are offline and still end when its file finishes. Confirm explicit repeat behavior for a loop.
  • Choosing a local encoder for unattended operation without a host plan: A desktop workflow depends on the machine and network being available. Include monitoring and recovery in the plan.
  • Assuming directory inclusion proves a feature: YouTube’s list is a discovery resource, not a detailed specification or endorsement of every service’s continuous-stream controls.
  • Planning around old plan limits: Upload size, duration, output quality, and pricing can change. Recheck the provider’s current terms before uploading a large file or paying.
