The reported install command is sudo eopkg install solseek; check the current Solus package listing and the project’s instructions before relying on that command, because repository availability can change.
What Solseek does
Solseek provides an interactive interface for package and driver tasks rather than replacing Solus’s underlying package manager. Its project README describes support for browsing, searching, installing, reinstalling, updating, verifying, and removing packages. Solus identifies eopkg as its package manager; Solseek uses it alongside other tools, including Flatpak.
The project says Solseek can be used as a desktop app or from a terminal, with keyboard or mouse interaction. Listed features include update notifications, exporting installed eopkg and Flatpak packages, viewing system configuration, and running a quick system-package and Flatpak update with solseek up. These are capabilities listed by the project, not independently tested results.
How to install Solseek on Solus
Linuxiac’s January 27, 2026 report said Solseek was available in Solus’s stable repositories and documented this command:

sudo eopkg install solseekThe report is dated, and current package status was not independently confirmed in a live Solus index. Before installing, check the Solseek project page for current installation guidance and confirm that the package is available for your Solus system. The command uses eopkg, Solus’s native package manager.
Package systems and other listed features
The README lists management features spanning several tools and system components. Coverage varies by package system, so Solseek should not be assumed to offer the same browsing and search experience for each one.

The project’s GitHub page says Solseek has moved to Codeberg: GitHub remains a mirror, while issues and contributions should go to the new repository. Use the project’s current home for updates and support, and check its hosting notice because project locations can change.
