SnapshotAPI is the only service in this comparison whose reviewed pricing page publishes plans in Indian rupees. ScreenshotAPI and ScreenshotCenter list prices in US dollars, and those list prices do not establish what an Indian customer will ultimately pay after currency conversion, taxes, or payment fees. Compare the billing model and capture limits, then confirm the checkout currency and charges before subscribing.

Which screenshot APIs publish INR prices?

For Indian developers who want to budget from a published rupee price, SnapshotAPI is the clearest match among the services reviewed. Its pricing page lists monthly INR tiers. ScreenshotAPI uses metered USD pricing, while ScreenshotCenter lists monthly USD plans. A service’s ability to capture an Indian website or render from India is separate from whether it bills in rupees.

The figures below are vendor-published terms, not independently verified billing results. SnapshotAPI’s pricing page was noted as having been crawled roughly seven months before the review; prices and allowances can change, so check the linked page before making a purchase.

SnapshotAPI: monthly plans in INR

Plan Published monthly price Included screenshots Published request rate Additional screenshots
Free ₹0 10 1 request per minute Not stated
Starter ₹499 1,000 10 requests per minute ₹0.60 each
Professional ₹999 5,000 60 requests per minute ₹0.25 each
Business ₹1,999 10,000 120 requests per minute ₹0.12 each

These quotas and overage amounts are listed on SnapshotAPI’s pricing page. The page also describes plan-dependent retention, support, multiple API keys, webhooks, PDF generation, team management, and analytics. It advertises a seven-day free trial for paid plans without a credit card and a 14-day money-back guarantee; confirm the current terms directly with the provider.

ScreenshotAPI: metered pricing in USD

ScreenshotAPI’s pricing page describes pay-as-you-go pricing rather than a subscription: $0.001 per shot. Listed packs include 2,000 shots for $2, 5,000 for $5, 10,000 for $9, 25,000 for $22, 50,000 for $40, and 100,000 for $80. The page says successful screenshots count and failed renders are not credited.

Its free allowance is inconsistent within the same page: one part says the first 100 shots are free, while signup text and a closing callout each say 1,000. Do not assume one figure is definitive; check the current account terms. The service lists PNG, JPG, and GIF output, content adjustment and blocking, mobile view, and configurable browser language. Its prices are in USD, not a quoted final INR charge.

ScreenshotCenter: monthly plans in USD

ScreenshotCenter’s pricing page lists a free trial with 500 screenshots per month, Starter at $15 per month for 2,000, Plus at $35 for 5,000, Business at $70 for 10,000, and Enterprise at $250 for 50,000. It also lists custom on-premise deployment.

Feature differences listed by the provider include PDF and HTML rendering, video generation, batch capture, priority support, team management, SSO, and on-premise options. The Plus tier lists five capture countries: the United States, the UK, India, Australia, and one country chosen by the customer; higher tiers list 80+ countries. The page says a PDF counts as one screenshot and video usage is counted per five seconds. These are USD plan terms, not an INR quote.

How to compare the real cost in India

A low headline price is not enough to estimate a screenshot API bill. Match the plan to how your application consumes captures, and distinguish currency from rendering location.

  • Billing unit: Check whether you pay for a monthly quota, each successful render, prepaid packs, or overages after an allowance. A pack and a monthly subscription are not directly equivalent.
  • Failed captures: Confirm whether timeouts, blocked pages, or failed renders consume quota or receive credits. The ScreenshotAPI page specifically says failed renders are not credited; that policy should not be generalized to the other providers.
  • Rate limits: Compare requests per minute against peak demand, not just monthly volume. SnapshotAPI publishes tier-specific rates; verify how retries and concurrent jobs interact with the provider’s limits.
  • Output and workload: Check the formats and capture modes you need, such as PDF, full-page images, video, or batch processing. A screenshot quota may count these outputs differently; ScreenshotCenter, for example, says PDFs count as one screenshot and videos are counted per five seconds.
  • Geography: Determine whether you need to capture a site from an India-based location. ScreenshotCenter lists India capture on Plus, but that says nothing about the currency it charges.
  • Checkout charges: For any USD-priced service, check the currency displayed at checkout and ask whether taxes, conversion rates, card-network or bank charges apply. The reviewed price pages do not establish those amounts for an Indian customer.

Do not convert a USD list price into a fixed rupee total using an assumed exchange rate and call it the final India price. The final charge depends on checkout terms and any applicable conversion, tax, or payment fees; those details were not established by the reviewed pricing pages.

Check API fit before choosing a plan

Pricing matters only if the API supports your capture workflow. Before committing, verify authentication, output formats, request limits, and whether the endpoint can express the options your application needs. Documentation for screenshot-api.org describes API-key authentication (with a header recommended), GET and POST screenshot routes, a batch route, URL input, PNG/JPEG/WebP/PDF outputs, viewport and full-page options, and advanced POST-only CSS, JavaScript, selector, geolocation, and PDF options. It also documents rate-limit and quota errors and states a free allowance of 60 requests per minute and 500 screenshots per month. These are terms stated by screenshot-api.org, a separate service from ScreenshotAPI and SnapshotAPI; similar names do not mean the providers are related.

Questions to resolve in a trial or integration test

  • Can you authenticate using the method your environment permits, and can you protect the key from browser-side exposure?
  • Does the API return the image or PDF in the format your application expects, and how are errors represented?
  • Do full-page captures, batches, or PDFs use the same quota as a basic screenshot?
  • What happens when you exceed a per-minute rate limit or monthly allowance: rejection, delay, or extra billing?
  • Can you capture the required country, viewport, and authenticated or cookie-dependent page state?

For applications where clean output and explicit billing outcomes matter, ScreenshotNeo removes cookie and consent banners from 60+ known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Only clean shots are billed: bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, with response headers identifying the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients.

One GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. For example, this cURL request saves a WebP screenshot of Stripe; replace the target URL as needed and add your API key:

Common pricing and selection mistakes

  • Assuming a dollar price equals the final rupee debit: It does not establish conversion, taxes, or bank fees. Confirm checkout currency and charges before paying.
  • Treating India capture as INR billing: A provider can offer rendering from India and still list its plans in USD, as ScreenshotCenter does for Plus.
  • Using ScreenshotAPI’s free-shot figure without checking: Its pricing page states both 100 and 1,000 in different places. Verify the allowance shown for your account.
  • Comparing only monthly screenshot counts: Overage rates, rate limits, billing for failed renders, output types, and capture geography can change which plan fits.
  • Confusing similarly named providers: screenshot-api.org, ScreenshotAPI, and SnapshotAPI are separate services. Confirm the exact domain before using documentation or relying on a price.
