To estimate a screenshot API bill in India, first calculate the screenshots the provider will bill each month, apply that provider’s plan and rules for retries, cache hits, and failures, then convert the resulting USD charge using a dated USD/INR rate. The result is an estimate—not a guaranteed rupee checkout total—because the providers below list USD prices and India-specific taxes, payment charges, and card conversion fees are not established here.
Estimate your monthly screenshot volume
Start with the number of URLs and how often each is captured:
monthly captures = number of URLs × captures per URL per month
For example, capturing 100 URLs once a day produces about 3,000 scheduled captures in a 30-day month. ScreenshotAPI.to uses the same example on its pricing page. ScreenshotAPI.to pricing

Scheduled captures are not always the same as billable captures. Retries, repeated renders, cache hits, and failed loads can change the count, depending on the provider’s rules. Check the exact definition before selecting a plan; do not assume that every request costs the same or that every failure is free.
Make a workload estimate
- Count the distinct URLs you need to capture.
- Multiply by the planned capture frequency across the month.
- Add an allowance for retries or extra renders if your workflow may make them.
- Separate expected cache hits and failures only after confirming how the selected provider treats them.
Apply the provider’s billing model
Once you have an estimated billable volume, use the plan’s included allowance, marginal rate, and usage rules. The prices below are vendor-listed USD terms checked on October 3, 2026; they are not India-specific quotations, and pricing can change.

Choose the calculation that matches the plan
- Monthly quota with overage: compare billable usage with included quota. If overage is enabled, calculate
base plan price + (billable shots above quota × overage rate). - Metered usage: multiply billable shots by the applicable unit price, checking whether the vendor offers volume packs or discounts.
- Prepaid credits: divide pack price by credits to find the effective cost per credit, then check expiry and whether subscription quota is consumed first.
- Free allowance: count only the stated allowance and features; do not infer unlimited or permanently free use.
For a concrete example, if 100 URLs are each captured daily in a 30-day month, the schedule is about 3,000 captures. A ScreenshotOne Basic plan lists 2,000 included captures at $17/month and $0.009 for each extra, so if all 3,000 are billable and overage is enabled, the listed plan math is $17 + (1,000 × $0.009) = $26 before any applicable taxes. If cache or failure rules reduce billable volume, the calculation changes. This is a plan calculation from the listed terms, not a checkout quote.

estimated INR = listed USD charge × dated USD/INR rate
No dated numeric USD/INR figure is established here, so inserting a rupee amount without checking a current rate would be misleading. Obtain a rate at publication or purchase time from FBIL or another clearly identified source, and identify the rate date and publisher. The Reserve Bank of India said FBIL took over computation and dissemination of the USD/INR reference rate effective July 10, 2018; the RBI’s notice described publication on Mumbai working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays. For budgeting, convert the plan or usage charge—not an assumed India tax-inclusive total. Verify the account’s checkout currency and confirm any applicable taxes, payment-provider charges, or card issuer conversion fees before relying on the final amount. Those India-specific totals are not established by the provider pricing pages cited here.

At the same scheduled volume, a plan’s headline price alone can mislead. Compare the minimum monthly commitment, included shots, marginal price, treatment of cache hits and failures, and the terms of any prepaid credits. If export formats or capture options affect your workflow, compare those requirements separately rather than choosing on price alone.

Check before you commit
- Your estimate is unexpectedly high: revisit capture frequency and retries, then check whether repeated renders or cache misses are billable.
- A failed page still appears in usage: compare the request outcome with the provider’s documented failure rules; for ScreenshotAPI.com, server interruptions and webpage load failures are not credited.
- Your expected free allowance is unclear: ScreenshotAPI.com’s pricing page has conflicting free-start claims, so confirm the allowance with the provider rather than budgeting on either claim.
- Your credit-pack math seems cheaper than a subscription: compare expiry and order of use. ScreenshotAPI.to says its packs never expire and subscription quota is consumed first; ScreenshotOne describes monthly plans and optional capped overage instead.
- Your rupee total differs from the estimate: check whether checkout uses USD or INR and review taxes, processor charges, and card issuer conversion fees.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do screenshot API providers charge for every URL request?
No universal rule applies. A URL can be requested more than once, served from cache, or fail, and vendors define billable usage differently. Check the provider’s pricing terms for those cases.
