If Save Page WE is missing from Chrome’s toolbar, open the Extensions menu beside the address bar and pin it. If it is not listed there, check Chrome’s Manage extensions page to see whether it is installed and enabled in the current profile.
Pin Save Page WE from Chrome’s Extensions menu
- In Chrome, select the Extensions control to the right of the address bar.
- Find Save Page WE in the list of extensions.
- Select Pin beside it, if that option is available. The extension’s icon should then appear on the toolbar. Google notes that some extensions do not offer a Pin option (Google Chrome Help).
If Save Page WE is not in the Extensions menu
Open Chrome’s Manage extensions page and check whether Save Page WE is installed and enabled in the Chrome profile you are using. Google’s extension-management guidance points users to this page when they cannot find an extension (Google Chrome Help).
If it is not installed in that profile, the Chrome Web Store listing is here: Save Page WE. The listing describes a blue floppy-disk toolbar button for saving the currently selected tab or tabs as a single HTML file. Its displayed version is 33.9, and it reports an update date of September 5, 2023; those listing details do not establish which version is installed on your device.

- Keyboard shortcut: press Alt+A to save a page.
These alternatives can help you invoke saving while the icon is unavailable. Pinning changes toolbar visibility; it does not determine whether the extension is installed.
What to do if the icon is still missing
- If Save Page WE appears in Extensions but has no Pin option, Google’s guidance notes that some extensions do not provide one. Use the context menu or Alt+A shortcut documented in the listing.
- If it is listed but disabled on Manage extensions, check its status there. The official sources do not identify why it may have become disabled on a particular device.
- If it is installed and enabled but still does not appear, the official sources do not diagnose that device-specific state. They do not establish that restarting Chrome, reinstalling the extension, or changing another setting will fix it, so do not treat those steps as guaranteed solutions.
