New Orleans Saints linebacker Kaden Elliss did not participate in practice Thursday, October 1, 2026, because of a listed calf injury, according to the team’s official Week 4 injury report. The Saints’ Friday report recorded another DNP for Elliss, so he had missed both practices as of October 2. Those practice entries do not establish his game status.
What the Saints’ reports say
The Saints’ Thursday injury report, published October 1, lists Elliss as a linebacker with a calf injury and a DNP designation—short for “did not participate.” The team’s Friday report, published October 2, lists him as DNP on both Thursday and Friday.
The reports concern New Orleans’ Week 4 game against Atlanta, scheduled for Monday night according to a contemporaneous CBS Sports recap by RotoWire Staff. The Saints listed nine players on Thursday’s report and ten on Friday’s; those totals count players listed, not players ruled out.
Does DNP mean Elliss is out?
No. DNP describes practice participation, not a final decision about whether a player will play. The Friday report does not give Elliss an out, doubtful, or questionable game designation. The two missed practices alone do not establish that he will miss the Atlanta game.
