Rogers’ surfaced offer is a temporary credit on a linked smartwatch or tablet plan—not a free watch or tablet. The current surfaced terms describe a $15 monthly credit for 24 months when you finance the device and add its plan to an eligible Popular or Ultimate mobile plan. You still pay for the financed device and your primary mobile plan, and the full companion-plan fee applies after the credit ends. Confirm the terms shown on your account before ordering.
What the Rogers offer covers
The surfaced terms from Imagine Wireless, a Rogers authorized dealer, say customers who finance a tablet or smartwatch and add its plan to an eligible Popular or Ultimate plan receive a $15 monthly credit for 24 months. The terms describe eligibility for a new line activation, a price plan change, or a hardware upgrade on an eligible Rogers Preferred Program plan. Check your own order summary: eligibility and promotions can change, and the dealer-hosted terms may not match every account or offer.
The credit applies to the companion plan charge. It does not, by itself, pay for the device or the primary phone plan. The surfaced terms list the tablet and watch plan fee at $15 per month after the credit period, subject to applicable rate increases.
How to understand the bill
Budget for three separate charges: your main mobile plan, the financed watch or tablet, and its companion data plan. The monthly credit temporarily offsets the companion-plan charge; it does not erase the other charges. After 24 months, the full companion-plan fee applies unless Rogers has offered different terms on your account.

Check financing obligations before changing service
Rogers’ sample device financing agreement, marked April 2025, says the outstanding financing balance becomes due if you cancel or transfer the mobile service associated with the financed device, or downgrade to a non-eligible plan, subject to reductions required by the Wireless Code. It also says late-payment charges may apply to overdue account amounts. Your signed agreement controls, so review its terms before changing service or plan.

Why older reports describe different eligibility
The offer has appeared in multiple versions. MobileSyrup reported in April 2025 that an earlier version required financing through Rogers and a qualifying non-discounted consumer in-market Infinite Extra plan or above. A June 2025 report described a version that appeared limited to Ultimate and cited then-listed monthly fees of $15 for a watch plan and $20 for a tablet plan. Those are historical descriptions and prices, not current price guidance. The later surfaced terms use Popular or Ultimate plan labels and a $15 monthly credit for 24 months.
Rogers’ Back to School page now says that promotion has ended; an older promotion snippet on that page is not evidence that the device offer is currently available. Treat the offer and price shown in your account’s order summary as the relevant terms for your purchase.
