If you want adjustable analog actuation and a configurable wrist rest, the newly announced Razer Tartarus V2 Pro is the more feature-rich choice on paper. If you value the Logitech G13’s mini-joystick, monochrome LCD, or familiar G-key layout, the G13 may still suit you—but check its condition and whether its software works with your computer. Neither product has been established here as a tested, universal winner.

At a glance: the main differences

Feature Razer Tartarus V2 Pro Logitech G13
Programmable controls 31, according to Razer’s 2026 product page (Razer). 22 G-keys and three M-keys, according to Logitech’s specification page (publication year not stated; accessed 2026; Logitech).
Key technology Second-generation analog optical switches, Rapid Trigger, and adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, as specified by Razer (Razer). Comparable adjustable-actuation features are not stated in Logitech’s published specifications (Logitech).
Thumb control and display Full-sized TMR thumbstick with three dedicated buttons; a display is not stated on the cited product page (Razer). Mini-joystick and monochrome LCD (Logitech).
Wrist fit Razer describes a wrist rest that adjusts in multiple directions, with a 15°–20° tilt range (Razer). Logitech specifies a non-adjustable LCD tilt; an equivalent wrist-rest adjustment is not stated (Logitech).
Software and compatibility information Customization requires the latest Razer Synapse; Razer describes configurable keymaps and onboard profiles (Razer). Logitech lists release-era GamePanel software and Windows XP/Vista and Mac OS X 10.4–10.5 support. Its current support page lists no downloads or spare parts (Logitech).

Which keypad fits your priorities?

Choose the Tartarus V2 Pro if you want adjustable input

Razer lists 31 programmable controls and adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, along with Rapid Trigger. Those are published features, not evidence of a measured speed advantage over the G13. Razer also specifies an 8,000 Hz polling rate in its September 17, 2026 announcement; that figure is the manufacturer’s stated specification, not an independently measured result (Razer announcement).

The adjustable wrist rest may be useful if its stated range suits your hand and desk setup. It is not enough, by itself, to establish that the keypad will feel more comfortable than a G13; no comparative hands-on ergonomics assessment is available here.

Keep or seek a G13 if its layout matters to you

The G13 combines 22 G-keys and three M-keys with a mini-joystick and monochrome LCD. If you already use its layout or rely on those specific hardware features, they may matter more than newer published switch features. Logitech lists a 2.438 m (8 ft) cable on its G13 technical specifications page; the page’s publication year is not stated (Logitech).

If you are shopping for one, check the seller’s reputation, the device’s condition, and whether the required software works on your operating system.

Software and availability checks before you buy

For the Tartarus V2 Pro

Razer announced the Tartarus V2 Pro on September 17, 2026. Its product page describes availability through Razer.com, RazerStores, and authorized retailers; that does not confirm current stock or price in your region. Check local listings and verify that you can use the latest Razer Synapse, which Razer says is required for customization (announcement; product page).

For the Logitech G13

Do not treat the operating-system list on Logitech’s specification page—Windows XP/Vista and Mac OS X 10.4–10.5—as proof of present-day compatibility. Those are release-era details. Confirm current software support for your exact operating system before relying on a G13, especially if you need to configure its keys or profiles (Logitech G13 specifications).

Verdict: feature set versus familiar hardware

Investigate the Tartarus V2 Pro if its listed adjustable actuation, 31 programmable controls, and adjustable wrist rest match what you want. The G13 remains a plausible fit for someone who prizes its mini-joystick, LCD, or established layout, provided a suitable unit and compatible software can be found. This is a comparison of manufacturer and support-page specifications, not independent testing, so it cannot establish which keypad is faster or more comfortable for you.
