The Razer Prio’s big advantage is its portability: it folds down to about wallet size and weighs 101 g, according to Android Central’s hands-on review. Its iPhone credentials are less clear. That review tested Android phones, not an iPhone, so treat Prio as an unverified iPhone option until Razer or the retailer confirms support for your exact model.
What makes the Razer Prio different?
The Prio is a compact USB-C controller that folds to protect its controls and takes up substantially less space than a full-size mobile controller. Android Central reviewer Nicholas Sutrich described it as about the size of a standard wallet when folded and reported a weight of 101 g. He compared it with his 252 g GameSir G8 Galileo; that is a weight comparison, not a full head-to-head test. Read the Android Central hands-on review.
The rear rubber-band swivel holds a phone in place, and the package includes three sets of rubber pads in different shapes and sizes to accommodate different phone fits. There are no published exact folded dimensions in the review, so wallet-sized is a practical comparison rather than a measurement.
How does it feel to play with?
Sutrich found the compact thumbsticks more capable than their size suggested, including for Fortnite and The Witcher 3 Remastered streamed through GeForce Now. He also liked the distinct-direction D-pad, quiet face buttons, and analog triggers. These are impressions from one reviewer’s hands-on use, not lab testing or a guarantee that every player will prefer the controls.

Comfort will depend partly on hand size. The reviewer, who has moderately sized hands, found the controller comfortable; he expected that people with large hands might find it less so. If possible, try the grip before relying on it for long sessions.
Will it fit your phone and case?
Fit depends on more than the phone’s width. Sutrich reports that his thick Dbrand Tank case on a Pixel 10 Pro fit after he removed the supplied pads. That example does not establish compatibility with other cases. Large camera islands can interfere with the controller’s fit, and book-style foldable phones do not fit while closed.

- Check that your phone’s USB-C port and body can sit securely in the controller.
- Consider the camera bump and case thickness, not just the phone’s advertised dimensions.
- Be prepared to remove or change the rubber pads if the fit is too tight.
- Confirm compatibility for your exact phone and case before buying, particularly if you plan to use it with an iPhone.
Does it work with iPhone?
The available hands-on evidence does not establish official Prio support for any particular iPhone. Android Central tested it with Android phones, including a Nothing Phone 3 and Pixel 10 Pro. USB-C alone is not proof that the controller is compatible with a given iPhone, so check Razer’s or the retailer’s current compatibility information before purchase.
Do not confuse Prio with Razer’s Kishi models. Razer’s official Kishi V3 product page lists support for iPhone 15, 16, and 17 series and describes a full-sized controller with USB-C pass-through charging. Those are Kishi V3 features, not verified Prio features.

Razer’s original Kishi for iPhone was a different Lightning-connected, MFi-certified product. Its 2020 announcement listed iPhone 6 Plus and newer devices and gave historical launch prices of $99.99 USD and 109.99€. Those dated details apply to that earlier Kishi, not to Prio or current iPhone compatibility. Razer’s 2020 announcement covers the original model; Macworld’s 2025 review distinguishes later Lightning and USB-C Kishi versions and reports that the original Lightning model had been discontinued.
How does it connect, and what about charging?
The Prio connects directly over USB-C. In the review, Sutrich said it required no separate charging or pairing: plug it in and play. The trade-off is that it has no pass-through charging. Your phone cannot charge through the controller while you play, so start with enough battery for the session.

The reviewer also says Razer Nexus can launch games and support PC streaming through Razer software. Customization was not enabled on his pre-release unit, so the review does not establish how those customization options perform in a finished retail setup.

The Android Central review reported a $99 price for Prio. That is the review’s price, not a verified live price or confirmation of current stock. Its Amazon link is an Amazon search for Razer Prio; check the listing for the current price and, above all, compatibility with your exact phone and case.

Prio makes the strongest case for someone who values a controller that can slip into a pocket and is willing to trade a larger grip and pass-through charging for that compactness. The controls earned a positive impression in one reviewer’s Android gaming sessions, but buyers with large hands should weigh comfort carefully. For an iPhone purchase, the unresolved compatibility question is decisive: do not assume the Prio works just because your phone uses USB-C.
