Razer’s Kraken V4 range comprises three headsets announced in 2024: the wireless Kraken V4, wired Kraken V4 X, and wireless Kraken V4 Pro. They offer different connection methods and features, but “gaming on every platform” is positioning—not a guarantee that every model works with every console, computer, or setup. Check the requirements for your specific device before buying.
Which Kraken V4 headsets did Razer release?
Razer announced the wireless Kraken V4 and wired Kraken V4 X on August 20, 2024. The Kraken V4 Pro followed on September 28, 2024, as an addition to the recently launched models. Razer’s August announcement and RazerCon 2024 announcement establish that chronology.
Razer’s U.S. product listing includes all three models. That confirms the lineup is presented as a range, but it is not a compatibility matrix for every device or platform. Check Razer’s current U.S. lineup listing for the latest product and availability information.
How do the Kraken V4, V4 X, and V4 Pro differ?
| Model | Connection and advertised distinction | Listed U.S. price when accessed |
|---|---|---|
| Kraken V4 | Wireless; Razer describes three connection modes, a super wideband microphone, and nine-zone earcup lighting. Razer Kraken V4 product page | $179.99; listing price can change. Razer U.S. lineup listing |
| Kraken V4 X | Wired; Razer describes USB-C and USB-A compatibility. Razer Kraken V4 X product page | $79.99–$109.99; listing range can change. Razer U.S. lineup listing |
| Kraken V4 Pro | Razer’s announcement highlights an OLED Control Hub. The announcement does not establish compatibility with every platform. RazerCon 2024 announcement | $399.99; listing price can change. Razer U.S. lineup listing |
The prices above are volatile U.S. listing prices observed when Razer’s listing was accessed, not fixed or global prices. Confirm the current price, regional availability, and exact model listing before purchase. The stated features are manufacturer descriptions, not independent test results.

How to choose a model for your device
- Start with your device and connection needs. For the wireless V4, verify that your device supports the connection mode you plan to use. For the wired V4 X, check whether your setup supports USB-C or USB-A as needed. Razer’s descriptions do not prove compatibility with every console or device.
- Compare the feature you will actually use. Razer highlights three connection modes and nine-zone earcup lighting for the V4, USB-C and USB-A compatibility for the V4 X, and an OLED Control Hub for the Pro. Consult the individual product information for details relevant to your setup.
- Check your region’s current listing. Prices and stock can change, and U.S. listing prices do not establish what a buyer will pay elsewhere.
What the announcements do—and do not—establish
The announcements and product listings establish the release chronology and Razer’s advertised distinctions between the three headsets. They do not provide independent findings on sound quality, comfort, or durability, nor do they establish a complete compatibility matrix. Treat “every platform” as broad product positioning and confirm compatibility for your particular device and connection method before buying.
