The 2025 Razer Blade 16 pairs a 0.59-inch (14.9 mm) aluminum chassis with AMD Ryzen AI 9 processors, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, and a QHD+ 240Hz OLED display. Those are peak or announced specifications, not a promise that every configuration has the same components: the GPU and processor vary by SKU and market.

How thin is the 2025 Razer Blade 16?

Razer announced the 2025 Blade 16 at 0.59 inches (14.9 mm) at its thinnest point. The chassis is a CNC-machined aluminum unibody, designed to make a high-performance gaming laptop more portable without abandoning a dedicated graphics chip. The measurement is the manufacturer’s stated thinnest-point figure, not a claim that the laptop is 0.59 inches thick everywhere. Razer’s 2025 announcement describes the construction and cooling design.

Cooling in the slim chassis

Razer says the redesigned vapor chamber covers 57% of the motherboard and works with dual fans; its exhaust fins are 0.05 mm thick. These are design specifications from Razer, not independent evidence of a particular temperature, noise level, or sustained gaming performance. A thin chassis can improve portability, but actual performance depends on the selected CPU and GPU, power settings, workload, and cooling conditions.

Which processor and RTX 50 graphics does it use?

The 2025 generation brought AMD Ryzen AI 9 processors to the Blade 16. Razer’s top announced processor option is the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, with 12 cores and 24 threads. The processor includes an NPU rated by Razer at up to 50 TOPS, supporting Windows Copilot+ features such as Cocreator, Live Captions, and Windows Studio Effects. The HX 370 is the top announced option, not a specification to assume for every regional configuration.

For graphics, Razer announced configurations up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory and up to 155 W of graphics power. Razer’s current comparison page also lists 2025 RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 configurations, underscoring that the lineup is SKU- and market-dependent. Check the exact listing before buying; “Blade 16 (2025)” alone does not identify its GPU. Razer’s current Blade 16 comparison page separates the configurations.

What is the Blade 16’s display?

Razer specifies a QHD+ OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.2 ms response time for the 2025 announcement. The high refresh rate is intended for fast-moving games, while OLED provides self-emissive pixels; the figures are manufacturer specifications rather than independent measurements. Razer’s 2025 announcement does not state a brightness figure for the screen, so do not infer the brighter HDR specification listed for the next generation.

What to check before choosing a configuration

  • Confirm the model year: the 2025 laptop is the Ryzen model; the 2026 revision is Intel-based.
  • Verify the exact GPU and power: Razer’s “up to” RTX 5090 and 155 W figures apply to the announced 2025 top configuration, while lower-GPU options are also listed.
  • Check memory needs now: Razer says memory is onboard and not upgradeable on the current models.
  • Compare the display and ports for your use: the 2025 announcement specifies QHD+ 240Hz OLED and USB4; the 2026 pages list brighter HDR and Thunderbolt 5/4.
  • Interpret runtime claims cautiously: Razer’s battery estimates use stated test methods and should not be treated as expected gaming-session duration.
