Quarantine Zone: Miami Zero is a free prequel campaign for owners of Quarantine Zone: The Last Check. It launched on October 15, 2026, and is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and through PC Game Pass. The campaign moves the outbreak investigation to Miami, described by Brigada Games as the infection’s reported origin point.
The important caveat for prospective players is that launch coverage does not yet establish a reliable completion-time benchmark, a named difficulty setting, a Miami Zero-specific ending count, an independent endless mode, or save migration behavior. What Miami Zero adds

Those additions are documented by the developer announcement. They indicate a campaign with more overlapping decisions, but they do not by themselves prove that Miami Zero is numerically harder or longer than the original.

Why your own time may differ
Miami Zero asks you to screen survivors for additional symptoms, investigate medicines, manage scarce supplies, and allocate people to yacht repairs. A player who experiments with the laboratory and replays decisions can spend substantially longer than someone who follows a direct path. Difficulty settings, if added or exposed in a later update, could also change the total time, but launch coverage does not document any named setting.
How to plan without a number
- Reserve a normal campaign block rather than assuming a short downloadable mission.
- Keep separate saves before major medical or allocation decisions if the game permits manual slots.
- Do not judge the expansion’s scope by the original campaign’s under-12-hour review figure.
- Look for an in-game chapter or completion statistic after finishing; that will be more useful than launch-day estimates.
Is Miami Zero harder than the main game?

What “difficulty” does not mean here
It would be inaccurate to claim that enemies are stronger, timers are shorter, or failures are more frequent because launch sources do not provide those measurements. Miami Zero can feel harder when several decisions arrive at once, even if the underlying penalties are unchanged. Until players have comparable runs, describe it as a denser decision environment rather than a confirmed difficulty increase.

Practical approach for a first run
- Read every new symptom description before committing a survivor to a scarce treatment or transport slot.
- Record which medicines you have researched and what resources they consume.
- Keep a small reserve of capable survivors for yacht repairs instead of assigning everyone to immediate screening.
- When a choice has an uncertain medical result, make a manual save first if the game offers one.
- Review the consequences of a failed assignment before repeating the same allocation on the next day or chapter.
Does Miami Zero have replay value or an Endless mode?
The underlying game has confirmed replay features. Windows Central reports two campaign endings and an Endless mode. Pixel Bandits likewise describes Endless as available from the start, while noting that repeated audio and limited survivor variety can reduce variation over time.

Replay value should come from trying different survivor-screening judgments, medicine research priorities, and yacht-repair assignments. Will my Quarantine Zone save work with Miami Zero?
Save continuity is currently unverified. Steam lists Steam Cloud for Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, which confirms cloud synchronization for the base product. It does not confirm that an existing campaign or Endless save will open Miami Zero, that the expansion preserves old progress, or that the save format remains unchanged.
What you can safely assume
- You may need to start the Miami Zero campaign separately from an existing run.
- Your base-game save should not be treated as a guaranteed prerequisite or import file.
- Cloud synchronization is not the same as cross-campaign migration; it copies save data between supported installations but does not automatically convert it.
Back up before launching
- Finish or pause any important run and exit to the desktop or console dashboard so the latest save is written.

If a save appears missing
Close the game without creating a new save in the same slot, then check that you are using the same Steam account or Xbox profile. PC through the existing game
Install or update Quarantine Zone: The Last Check in your PC library, then launch it and look for the Miami Zero campaign entry. PC Game Pass
Xbox Wire lists Miami Zero as available on PC Game Pass. Catalog availability and account entitlements can change, so check the current listing in the Xbox app and make sure the base game is installed or available to your account. Owning the expansion through the original game and accessing it through a subscription are separate entitlement paths.

The Miami Zero campaign is not visible
