Qi2 25W is no longer just nearing launch: the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) launched the standard in July 2025, and compatible chargers and power banks are now listed by manufacturers. It raises Qi2’s maximum wireless power to 25W while retaining magnetic alignment—but a 25W charger will deliver that rate only when the phone, charger, power adapter and operating conditions all support it.
What Qi2.2 means
The WPC’s current standards terminology is Qi v2.2.1, branded Qi2 25W. “Qi2.2” is a common shorthand, but Qi2 25W is the clearest label to look for when shopping. The WPC introduced this version in July 2025 as a faster successor to original Qi2.
Qi2 25W raises the standard’s maximum wireless power to 25W—nearly 70% more than original Qi2, according to the WPC. That is a maximum capability, not a promise that every phone will continuously receive 25W. The standard retains Qi2’s magnetic alignment, which helps align a compatible phone and charger.
Which phones can charge at 25W?
Support is specific to the phone model; a charger’s rating cannot add 25W support to a phone that does not have it. Belkin’s compatibility list gives these examples:

These are examples from Belkin’s compatibility information, not a complete list of all supported phones. Confirm the exact model and its current software requirements with the phone maker or charger maker before buying. Even a listed 25W-capable phone may charge more slowly depending on firmware or operating-system version, temperature, the power adapter and other operating conditions.
What you need for a full 25W setup
Check the entire charging chain, not just the number printed on the charger. UGREEN says full 25W operation requires a certified Qi2 25W charger and a USB-C Power Delivery (PD) adapter rated at least 30W.

- Check the phone. Verify that your exact model supports Qi2 25W, rather than relying on a family name or on the charger’s wattage.
- Check the charger certification. Look for Qi2 25W certification and the Qi2 logo, not merely terms such as “magnetic” or “25W.”
- Check the power adapter. For the full 25W setup described by UGREEN, use a USB-C PD adapter rated at least 30W. Confirm whether the charger includes one; a power rating on the charging pad does not mean the wall adapter is in the box.
- Allow for real-world limits. Heat, software and operating conditions can reduce the rate delivered. A charger’s 25W rating describes its maximum capability, not a guaranteed sustained rate for every session.
Where to find Qi2 25W chargers and power banks
Qi2 25W products have moved beyond the launch announcement. Current product evidence includes Belkin’s Magnetic Charger with Qi2 25W, UGREEN’s MagFlow Pro Qi2 25W charger and UGREEN’s Qi2 25W power-bank family. These examples establish that chargers and travel-oriented power banks exist; they do not establish stock, pricing or availability in every country or retailer. Check the manufacturer’s current product listing and your local retailer for the exact model and regional availability.
WPC certification records also include Force Power model BB8962. A database listing is useful evidence of certification, but it is not by itself a guarantee that a product is currently sold where you live.

How to choose the right charger
Once phone support and certification are confirmed, compare the details that affect daily use:
- Form factor: A puck is compact; a stand can keep the screen visible; a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 dock can charge multiple devices in one place; a car mount or power bank suits travel. Confirm the stated Qi2 25W capability for the phone-charging position, not just a product-family description.
- Simultaneous charging: For a multi-device dock, check how many devices it charges at once and whether adding another device changes the available power.
- Heat management: Wireless charging conditions and cooling design can affect the rate a phone sustains. Look for manufacturer information about thermal management, and expect performance to vary with use and surroundings.
- Included adapter: Check the package contents and adapter rating. If no suitable USB-C PD adapter is included, you may need to supply one rated at least 30W for the full setup described by UGREEN.
- Exact certification: Generic magnetic compatibility is not the same as Qi2 25W certification. Check the product’s certification and logo rather than inferring compliance from its shape or advertised wattage.
Why certification matters
The WPC says products undergo safety and interoperability testing at independent authorized laboratories before they can use the Qi or Qi2 logo. Certification is therefore a more meaningful check than a seller’s unqualified “magnetic” claim: it indicates the product has been tested against the standard. It does not override the need to check phone compatibility, adapter requirements or the conditions that affect charging speed.

In its July 23, 2025 announcement, the WPC described the Qi2 25W certification queue for launch as unprecedented in the breadth of products and designs. That launch statement explains the scale of the rollout; for an individual purchase, verify the exact charger model in current manufacturer information or WPC certification records.
