Zendesk Talk review
A Zendesk-native voice channel with IVR, queues and omnichannel routing.

Zendesk Talk is a cloud voice channel for customer service teams already working in Zendesk. Agents can receive inbound calls in a browser or on a forwarded phone, place outbound calls, create tickets, route conversations through queues and IVR, record calls, manage voicemail and callbacks, and combine voice with messaging and email. It suits small, mid-market and enterprise teams that want phone support connected to Zendesk Support or Zendesk Suite rather than a separate call-center application.
Published Suite plans show a tiered structure. Suite Team costs $55 per agent per month when billed annually and includes telephony, omnichannel routing, messaging and live chat. Suite Professional costs $115 per agent per month on annual billing and adds an IVR phone tree, skills-based routing and telephony. Suite Enterprise + Copilot includes generative AI for Voice plus advanced governance and security. Phone numbers, per-minute usage, telephony credits, recordings and transcription are charged separately from seat pricing, so call volume and add-ons affect the total cost. A 14-day trial is available.
Talk fits teams invested in the Zendesk ecosystem: it connects with Zendesk Support, Zendesk Suite, Marketplace apps and APIs, and runs through the web with a browser-extension deployment option. Core controls cover queue management, overflow routing, callbacks, call recording and voicemail recording, while add-ons provide call transcription and summaries. Its scope is narrower than platforms built around deeper dialers, workforce management or broader channel tooling. Choose Talk when Zendesk is the service hub and voice needs to share tickets and routing with existing channels; consider a specialized contact-center platform when advanced dialing or workforce capabilities are central requirements.
