Our verdict on Zahara

Zahara is a cloud-based accounts payable and purchase-to-pay platform for finance teams, particularly service-based organisations and growing businesses. It connects purchase requests and purchase orders with invoice capture, OCR and AI data extraction, matching, configurable approvals, supplier payments, budget visibility and audit trails. Approvers can work through email, web, iOS or Android, while finance teams can export approved invoices or prepare them for payment. Its scope makes it a fit for organisations that want procurement and accounts payable in one workflow rather than a narrow invoice-capture tool.

Pricing is structured around Teams, Business and Enterprise plans. The published monthly prices are £159, £289 and £499 respectively, with approval workflows, budget control, Read & Ready Processing and international payments highlighted across these tiers. Annual billing is available, and the vendor advertises a 17% saving; the 14-day free trial requires no credit card. Enterprise + adds custom usage limits, custom integrations, a security review and bespoke onboarding. Prices exclude UK VAT. Teams, Business and Enterprise are the clearer fit for organisations that can work within defined quotas for users, orders, invoices, suppliers and storage, while Enterprise + is aimed at organisations needing tailored requirements.

The platform’s strongest case is breadth: it covers purchasing, invoice inboxes, two-way and three-way matching, duplicate detection, multi-step approvals, committed-spend visibility, payment runs and mobile receipting and expenses. Integrations include Xero, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, QuickBooks Online, Sage products, Oracle NetSuite, MYOB and other finance systems, plus Zapier and Microsoft Power Automate. That ecosystem suits teams consolidating finance workflows around an existing accounting or ERP system. Organisations seeking a lower-cost tool, a free plan or usage beyond the stated 250-invoice limit should compare alternatives before choosing Zahara.
