Our verdict on BILL Accounts Payable

BILL Accounts Payable is cloud software for businesses and accounting teams that need to capture invoices, code bills, route approvals, match purchase orders, and pay suppliers. It supports ACH, virtual cards, credit cards, checks, and international transfers, alongside centralized bill storage, W-9 collection and verification, mobile bill review, and multi-entity processing. The product fits small and midsize businesses as well as larger organizations with more complex accounting structures.

Pricing starts with Essentials at $49 per user per month, billed monthly. It includes bill entry, approval workflows, payment options, a centralized bill inbox, standard approval policies, and six standard user roles. Team costs $65 per user per month and adds automatic two-way accounting sync, granular AP and AR controls, custom roles, and AI multi-line bill coding. Corporate is $89 per user per month and adds custom approval policies, procurement workflows, purchase orders, two-way matching, and approver-only user discounts. Enterprise uses custom pricing and adds multi-entity and multi-location accounting, API access, single sign-on, and priority support.

Platform coverage is a practical strength: BILL Accounts Payable is available on web, iOS, Android, and API. It integrates with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier, and Xero. Essentials supports accounting integration through manual CSV import and export, while automatic two-way synchronization begins on higher plans. Teams wanting mobile approvals, varied payment methods, W-9 workflows, or multi-entity operations have a broad feature set to work with. Smaller teams seeking the lowest-cost entry point, a free plan, or automatic accounting sync at the first tier should consider a simpler or lower-priced alternative instead.
