Our verdict on YouRace
YouRace records running workouts on Apple Watch and pairs with an iPhone app for managing workouts. The watch displays time, distance, pace, heart rate and GPS accuracy, and workout summaries include splits and heart-rate information. Race mode lets runners set a target distance and view a projected finish time. It suits runners who want race pacing and interval tracking on their wrist, with a low one-time cost for expanded tools.
The published plans show a free download and Pro for a one-time $4.99, with no subscription. Free includes downloading the app; Pro unlocks structured interval plans created on iPhone and run on Apple Watch, live pace, heart-rate or power targets during intervals, and route following with GPX or Strava routes. That makes the price straightforward for runners who need those specific features, though route following and more advanced interval planning are not part of the free offering.
YouRace connects with Apple Health, Strava, Intervals.icu and Nolio, and can export workouts to Strava, Intervals.icu, Nolio, FIT and TCX formats. The developer says workouts stay on the iPhone and in Apple Health unless the user exports them. Its focus is running rather than a broad training ecosystem: runners seeking race projections, intervals and export options may find the feature set well matched, while those who need a wider platform or free access to route following and structured plans should compare alternatives. The app is listed for iPhone and Apple Watch.
